Temperature here below freezing now, no gritter (even though there’s a school three hundred metres down the lane) because it’s no longer winter!

Still a smattering of snow about. Not untypical for this time of year, I’ve known three Good Fridays when it’s snowed.

A line of showers passing over Stoke currently. Downpours of graupel from some of these, and some nice sky.

Another dusting of snow ( 0.5cm ) this morning after a snow shower yesterday evening. It's a cloudier morning than yesterday but I don't hold much hope for the snow cover surviving until 0900 g.m.t.

p.s there was more snow than it appeared when I got outside to measure it, a full 1cm!

No other than cold rain!

In the past 3 hours the radar has exploded with slow moving convective showers.

It was lashing down with sleet and small hail when I went onto the moor to do the wind speed readings this morning, the wind was gusting to 53 mph with a temperature of 2.8c at 340 mts. Definitely the 'worst' weather for a few weeks when I've been up there.

Really strange cloudscapes yesterday in Northants, lots of heavy showers not quite hitting the ground and other weird stuff....
