Well, that was a pretty underwhelming squall , seems like we are doomed to dullness in this part of the world

Nothing much to speak of here in Warwickshire (as usual). Maximum recorded gust only 46mph.

Worst flash flooding of roads I've seen in a while. Had to drive past a 300m stretch of flooded road, but thankfully wasn't too deep.

Another heavy squally shower here with roaring winds. Rain, hail maybe sleet even. Not so sure about the last one could be just hail.

The wind here now is terrific, we had a big hailstorm too, it blew a window wide open and I had to really struggle to get it shut again

Squall line earlier! Had a 240mm/hr rainfall rate that's a record for my station.

Just had a 50 mph gust with the last shower only 2mph less than Friday with Euince, highest gust so far out of these 3 named storms was 59mph in storm Dudley.

Hmmm, what do we have here?

Thursday does look potentially quite wintry in a north west flow.

And another rain/hail shower incomming in a few mins, very windy.

XC weather predicting 64mph gusts at 6am in the morning; prior to that in the 50's.

Yes hail here as well and thunder and lightening. Less rain though thankfully. Gusty winds;  as others have said stronger than Eunice.

More of a wintry mix here from that large shower with some rain and wet snowflakes. Amazing the change from the mild and wet conditions earlier to much colder weather with the sleet and snow. What a day!

As a weather enthusiast it's what you want. January was very VERY trying with its blandness.

Hope you're well good sir!

Bad conditions here with gales onto the mid 70s and heavy rain. The dales are flooded with villages cut off and flood waters will get worse over the next few hours.

A wild morning out on the tops. almost equal to storm Eunice.  I had a job to stay upright clutching my trusty hand held anemometer with a mean speed of 49 mph, gusting 76 mph, and horizontal lashing rain.

Lots of flooding in the valleys around here after another 31.5 mm of rain in the 24 hrs up to 0900. Buxton had half as much rain again on top of that so lots of water still to come down the rivers.

Hi Crewe, to be fair, despite not being a huge fan of Atlantic type of weather, I do feel these last few days in particular have been interesting. All the variety we’ve had from the strong winds, squally cold fronts and showers and the mixture of rain, sleet, hail and for some too, snow! In fact, because it’s been a setup where the milder and colder polar airmasses have been in constant fight with each other, it has been making this period quite far from boring (as much as I like it when it’s dry and sunny, thundery or snowy).

I’ve been alright thanks, been a busy few weeks with work and stuff. Be glad to see the backend of the pandemic even if we have to accept Covid is likely to stay with us for a long time. Hope you’re also doing okay dude. I imagine it’s been very wild where you are, although hopefully you’ve been able to keep safe!

CHECK-FOR-FLOODING.SERVICE.GOV.UK

Flooding information and advice for the area: River Severn at Wribbenhall, Bewdley.

Worrying times in parts of Bewdley this evening. Some residents being advised to evacuate as it can't be guaranteed that the temporary defences on the east bank of the River Severn won't overtop. Certainly merits the Severe Flood Warning as overtopping there has happened before and is devastating. We really, really, *really* need some properly dry weather soon, both here and upstream in Shropshire & Powys.

Similar warning out for parts of Ironbridge, but I don't know that area well so can't say much about it.

By the way, please be very cautious about relying on the river level projection (eg for Bewdley) on the EA website. It's a computer model and is often about as accurate as the icon-based hourly forecasts on the Met Office app. As with weather, the text-based sitrep by the experts is much more useful.
