Really heavy snow now. Settling slightly on very wet surfaces ☃️

5th day of falling snow in a poor winter.

North Staffordshire and the Peak District has been the sweet spot for snow this winter. Still a very poor winter overall

A spell of very heavy snow has just ended. It put down almost 4cm in less than an hour. Plenty of cars struggling on the roads as a result.

It would be ironic if this hits us harder than Storm Eunice did. IMBY Eunice was just standard winter weather.

River Derwent's high through Matlock, burst its banks in numerous places, and has been flooding the fields for several hours.

currently 2.94m due to hit 4.45m around midnight.  Normal range is half that !!

very high when you consider flood alerts to properties were set at 2.9m past that now. Just hope it does not flood the town again

Conditions are certainly getting a bit rough out there, the squall line can be seen on the image heading our way.

Squall has arrived here. Torrential rain and probably gale force gusts.

Very glad I'm not outside right now!

Tree down on the A456, Blakedown area. I wonder whether we may see a few of these that were weakened but not felled by Eunice on Friday.

That was insane weather from such a small squall. I think my bins have done more miles than the space station!

Seem to be thankfully shielded by winds here. Squall came through but other than the intense rain, nothing much with winds.

Very wet. Roads flooded.  Just over 2 years since last flood. Wind lessening and temp dropping. Hoping the rain will slacken off.
