Yesterday it didn't get above 19.6°C, so it was the first day in 19 days (since 8th June) to have a max of under 20°C, fairly impressive run for June I think here. 

Mostly cloudy but dry day, though a bit of a brief clear slot in the evening revealed a smoky sky courtesy of the wildfires in Canada.

Some nice sunset lit clouds this evening, but it certainly doesn't feel like July, more like end of September / early October, with a current temperature of 14°C.

A few showers earlier which gave some nice cloudscapes along with some sunny spells, otherwise a cool non description early July day.

Yet another day of 100% cloud and horrible cold. We even managed a cheshire gap streamer overnight, so cold is the air. What a vile spell for so-called high summer.

Slight improvement today compared to yesterday but still not great, max of around 18.5C, with about a grand total of probably 2 hours of sunshine. I am starting to get used to these cool temperatures, so the warmth that briefly comes back on Friday / Saturday may feel extra warm. Next week rinse and repeat but the airmass doesn't look as cool as what we have currently.

On another note since the 20th of june, only 3mm of rain has fallen, so I wouldn't really call what we have unsettled now but elsewhere it has been.

Possible Storms during the morning? MIDS 🙂

Going through some of the parameters on Oscar van der Velde's site (AKA Lightning Wizard) Seems some pretty decent outputs in regards to the Mids and the breakback of the convayer - Thanks to nick f for noting that today. (Jet stream)

From the South West to the swing around from the low pressure forming west of Ireland, Sat24 in infared shows it well, use Europe settings.

Seems like a 7am starter on the UKV then goes foot loose around midday.

Reluctant to post in the main thread as its full of 'remember when's' Or South East England. There is a thread on Euro weather too? Is there ?

As for other things respect @Arnie Piein the NLC thread, Did you get the ebay delivery on the new old cam?

Well if said to be correct the satellite image from sat 24 showing a clearing in the clouds and the ukv at 3pm boils it up a bit.

They certainly did..

That was an impressive afternoon 1.2inches of rain wettest day for 3 years..

Thunderstorms developed as they headed over us...

About 1ish I did see a shower on the radar it didn t look much then looking at the clouds..

Out of the blue day today..

I did expect some thundery showers but not on this scale...
