Constant rumbling of thunder, hear only couple of flashes of lightning rain here is quite heavy as I type this thunder is getting louder

Could do with a drop of rain, everything drying up here, just skirted around us and exploded a few miles west and south of here 🙁

Unreal here! constant thunder, heaviest rain ever I think, only 1 flash though

I hadn’t registered a single drop 0.0mm this June,

but in around 30 to 40 minutes earlier I’ve had 24.6mm….roughly an inch”

gotta laugh, how outdated is Louise Lear on the BBC new 24 right now, she’s forecasting todays weather still from 2pm lol

Distant rumbles of thunder here now, as the storm moves away in all that rain and Thunder. There was only three flashes of lightning.

Decent amount of rain today to be fair and it's not been downpours more like sustained moderate most of the time.

Big bolt of lightning, big bang, power out, neighbours alarms going off.

Now torrential rain and hail.

Just goes to show, so close, yet all we have here, about 3 miles away, is enough to dampen the ground! Shame that the electrical stuff looks to have gone south and West of us. Maybe tomorrow.

Pretty bad up here, electricity out twice, luckily its back, but the wind just dropped to nothing and the storm was around for a while. Sky yellow, like something out of that Fallout game.

Tasty! Ingredients are there for more vigorous storms today.

This would have been a bit dicey. I was at the chase on Friday and it's not the easiest arena to get away from

Humidity is something else this morning, feels oppressive.

Current dewpoint is 18C here and it's very rare to get it to 20C, very occasionally reach it in later August or September when the sun starts to lose it's strength a bit and a humid south westerly comes here, so for June it's quite something. Maybe a sign of things to come for the region later though.

Anyone in birmingham record the rainfall totals from yday? certainly looked like north warks was the sweet spot for flashes from what ive seen. Ourselves north through much of Staffs saw some fun too. But id assume there was well over an inch here? Fingers xd for more fun today although its so random with convection anywhere in central/southern england could see the fun!

Think Coventry up to Leicester may be the sweet spots this afternoon, unless some backbuilding takes place on the western edge of this cluster im not sure Bham will see much of the fun 😞
