Snow has arrived in Reigate light currently but settling easily as temperature is still -1.3c

I was about to say the same thing - I’m close to Earlswood lakes and there’s gentle snow here!

Definately getting darker here in Coulsdon, but if the snow has got to Reigate then its only a few more miles north east to go to get here. currently -2.4c DP -3c

Darn it the snow falling is the non frozen clear variety… -0.5 degrees.. come on now just to see a wee few proper snow ❄️ flakes isn’t  nice too much to ask is it?

I'd imagine as the sun starts to go down those marginal places will start to see things slip slightly more in favour of snow, especially a little inland.

Just a light snowfall here, but looks like an ice day is now just about nailed on, still -1.5c here. All day frist and ice.

Looking forward to seeing hogmoor in bordon and the water there when walking the dog tomorrow morning, I'd guess it's going to be totally iced up after today's lack of thawing.

Models aren’t great at convection. I was feeling confident yesterday morning after the previous failings from the models in the SW and NW.

My biggest fear is the DPs rising, as the wind swings round.

That will be the killer for us in Southend. The warm bath next to us.

Anyone know if Essex is likely to join in later?

You can see the main band shearing away on its western edge. Those further west in the region are going to need to rely on a pivot.

Hopefully we’ll be alright. But even going from central Southend out to Leigh could make the difference. Shoebury looking like a loss here.

The 127 could be a good cut off point, north of that should be okay. Hadleigh/Benfleet where it’s likely to be snow too.

Leigh/Westcliff looking a little too close for comfort.

Snowing quite heavily here now in Hassocks after some small icy bit's. Not far shy of an inch of snow in 20-30mins here!

Just seen the updated met office warning. Think it has a typo in it, as im not sure herefordshire has ever been clased as being in south east england. Should be hertfordshire, which will be good news for a few on here 🙂
