Southend and rochford areas just have heavey rain few miles up the road snow settling....

The snow has been very light here abit jealous of those a few miles south with the heavier snow. Reckon as it slowly pivots north the channel could come alive?

Stopped snowing here. Not sure if that's it now or more to come. Most snow I've seen for a few years!

Watching that pivot to see if the heavier snow will make it as far west as where I am. Think I'm too far west but watching it closely.

Well, that was a poo-bum of a day: -5C at 10am, still below at midday, followed by a rainy, sleety and miserable afternoon and evening. God only knows what garbage we'll get overnight!

Just taken us over 4 hours to drive from Bodle street to Mayfield (usually takes 25 mins) Absolute chaos on the roads, cars abandoned all over the place! Finally had to abandon ours about a mile from home and walked the rest (in suede boots yuk!)

Just came from Hockley to Southend Hockley already a CM or 2

As you come out of Hawkwell it’s all slush and sleet.

I agree, need an hour or two but the front will be through by then, still looks to me like there were two lows, one in Kent one in Sussex, the Kent one went north then pivoted this one over kent now went from the south coast into the channel then to here now. That's how it looked to me. Will the other low come back down, are they circling each other basically. Probably not.

Watford area 9pm first snowfall

Still a steady fall seems to have pepped up slightly. Reckon we're at about an inch now which isn't too shabby.
