Can already hear it dripping and thawing out there.

Is that the fog already rolling back in?

I wonder how many schools will be closed tomorrow here in the SE. No one has mentioned anything about 'breaking out the sledges' yet 😉😄

My daughter works in a local primary school and has been emailed this evening to say a decision will be made in the morning.

With the amount we have, and with it still falling, something tells me it will be shut tomorrow!

0.5 rise in an hour 🤣

Ridiculous. Just back from a drive. Had to see the madness with my own eyes. Snow line starts at Hadleigh on the A13. All points east it’s Rain. 5 bloody miles is all it takes.

Really?! Maybe it's just a medway thing, although your altitude is good. We're only 25m higher than you here in the weald, and it's icy and silent.

Final tally here is towards 4 inches. Will have better idea tomorrow. One car had 3 inches, the other 4...

Drove a few miles East towards lamberhurst on a rescue mission and everything is just blanketed. Looked like they had 6 inches in places.

my daughter works in b'heath and says its atrocious on the roads when she left work a while ago. C London will be horrible if it's icy slush everywhere tomorrow.

In my view the whole system is moving NNE so its not going to suddenly turn around and head SSE is it? I get what your saying about the wrap around but is been doing that since 5pm. It gives the impression of moving back south but the whole lot is moving NNE.

Agree with that

the met office website rainfall charts are looking fairly accurate with their predictions of where this is going

Yes - very hard to see what might shift the whole system southwards no. I’ll be happy to be proved wrong!

Actually - it’s a decent effort, well done.

Indeed, just looked at the lampost. PPN picking up from a NW direction.

Really great to see all the pictures on here of the snow you have.

I feel very grateful that here in South Cambs it’s still coming down nicely.

It looks like it's beginning to fade and head into the North Sea. I personally have done very well, but I feel for those who missed out.

It does make a nice change for London to get a pasting though.

My punch is the pivot happens between bishops stortford and royston. Looking at radar movement of the low pressure system.
