A beautiful day spent down in Salcombe in virtually unbroken sunshine.

Managed to catch the sun on one side of my face more than the other though so I know what tomorrows mission will be! 😅

Should’ve known better than to not face the sun directly while having lunch! 🤦🏻‍♂️

A maximum of 25.2°C at: 12:18 today.

I saw a tweet (X?) saying that the ECM was proper hot next week

Across Europe they are talking 40C + in quite a few places, Spain and Portugal and France moving up to Germany. Mind you 37C is not that cool for the UK🥵

Suggestion for 40C just across the channel

UKMO 18z HD has 110+ KPH wind gusts for Friday night into Cornwall, seems like models are only now picking up on a deeper low than previously forecast to be closer to the UK.

Cloudy start to the day with sunny intervals. Some showers trying to cross the channel but seem to be getting capped out.

Looks like its going to get worse, before it gets better.

Should clear for the official BBQ lighting at 5pm on the nose.

I can guarantee that random blob of cloud would not be there if it were a thunderstorm! 🙄

Morning All, as noted an overcast start today after an overnight low of 12.5°C at: 04:59, currently 20.6°C, RH82% and a strengthening breeze from the E.

Keeping eyes on the area of rainfall that is exiting France (without a Visa), UKV suggests it will fade. And yet is appears to be getting closer to the coastline.

AROME suggests the area of rain swings westwards, so potentially miss us

Sun has still not broken through here. Just fairly still and humid feeling. Oh well, at least it’s not raining.

The sun was out this morning when we went with our boy to get his A level results  . Feels muggy and is cloudy now.  In the warning area for tomorrow  everything crossed that I hear a rumble of thunder.

Tides out; Suns out; People are out enjoying the late afternoon sunshine, which pushed the temps up a bit to 22.7°C at: 15:32.

Looking at this for tomorrow, shall I consider myself in the warning zone or not?

image.thumb.png.b7380ea7078518150ce54285a3becf77.png

My gut feel is not, as I can see it kicking off once its passed overhead!

It's so dull this morning I have my bedside lamp on .

It looks like the sun might break through this afternoon but that will only aid the showers this evening.

I think a sewing , crafting day is looming .

Morning All, the shield firmly in place today as,

They miss me to the west, AGAIN

image.thumb.png.a0ba66bb3a0b57e705b42f53b773557d.png

They miss me to the east, AGAIN

They miss me to the east, AGAIN

But they always manage to be close but "No Cigar"!

Ah well situation normal, the overnight low a warm one with 16.4°C at: 01:19, currently 17.7°C, RH94% and a 12mph ESE breeze. We have managed a massive 0.6mm of rainfall though!😲
