Weather avoidance galore.  BAW27HK just reported the approach is about to infringed by the front, so could get a bit messy unless they land 26L.

Just a bit further east near Steyning my dude and it's incredible but still fairly distant (looking west). One of those rare occasions, in this neck of the woods at least, where I don't need to check the radar to see if it's dying because it's letting me know every second that all is well

I'm arriving late to the party today. Interesting line of nastiness (or goodness - depending on your viewpoint) creeping north over Portsmouth.  Webcam shows quite a bit of what looks like elevated lightning.

Could come my way! Woo hoo!  The only problem is I need to be in bed shortly for an early holiday departure tomorrow. Sigh.

Huge amount of lightning to the south of here now and first audible thunder.

Doesn't seem like much on the radar further North  compared to how it was when it started in the channel but I assume its mostly elevated

a converging squall line has formed now stretching west as far as Worcester....if it keeps its intensity and track a lot of the UK from around  directly south of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Birmingham are going to have a fun night
