Gah, I'm surrounded by intense storms, and looks like we'll be "Gapped" both West and East of me as it heads North.

For some reason, that Storm seems to be afraid of crossing the M6 😅

Beautiful storm in North Norfolk; some very loud claps and hammering rain... beautiful as I slept through the last two!

Seems to have finished now, but had half an hour...good considering the hourly forecast was 0% for thunder or rain lol

Nothing here bar 15 mins of moderate rain. Lightning detector said lightning 7 miles away. Yeah, whatever....

As Super Kent are 63 for 5 at tea, is there any chance of a thirty-six-hour-long super storm in Canterbury?👍 Meanwhile, a thirty-six-second-long storm would do me!😂

Had a dozen or so crunching rumbles from above 🌩️

Edit: Wow that was loud. Sound like it hit something up towards Calow hospital

Absolutely black as night to my West, and can constantly hear rumbling of distant thunder coming from the mass, but it'll think it'll slip to the NW of me...

Hopefully, seems quiet lightning wise on the East. Guess we'll see if an uptick happens later on

Quite an active storm about an hour ago, thunder every 20 secs or so, typical single cell lasted about 20mins before stopping abruptly.

Can see storm that’s about to affect Sheffield in the distance but its trajectory is looking like its going to miss me slightly

That other one after seemed even louder. Like a bomb going off, again up towards top of Hady / Calow

Storm such a tease... but I'm seeing frequent distant flashes and the constant drone of distant thunder rumbling all to my West and North West, over Newcastle..

I can even make out the squall line, and see the more greenish-grey tinge under it!

Unfortunately my view out of my window ain’t the best due to all the trees, and I can’t move because I’ve got work to do

Last night / this morning (about 3am) woken up by the most incredible rainstorm. Looked on radar and it was barely a sliver of red, but it seemed to last well over 5 mins. Really, really heavy. This morning the garage lights circuit kept tripping the main breaker, so I think the water worked it’s way into one of the external light fixtures… 🤔

I was woken shortly after 3am by this rainstorm. No thunder or lightning despite the intensity.
