The Lincolnshire cell is dying off now. But there seems to be elevated cloud bases above me with some drops of rain.

I live in North Hampshire and lately most storms seem to either pass to west or the east. However I've just noticed a decent rainfall radar return just to the south west of me near Andover that appears to be tracking north east. Hoping it doesn't fizzle out!

Edit: Looks like the storm is tracking more west to east and will pass far to the south.

A lot of pokey little cells popping up in the west country. I really hope something happens here in Gloucester, it's still roasting and feeling humid 😫

Dan’s forecast has been pretty spot-on so far - and he suggests that as the evening draws in storms could atart popping up all along the southern coasts, or drift in from the channel.

Looks a bit popcorny at the moment, but from what I’ve seen and heard some lovely structure to be witnessed

I thought it went quiet for a bit then it started to kicking off again and that big dark cloud and I can hear thunder from it again getting the distance on the outskirts of warminster

I did see some flashes of lightning from it

I can see its raining in Bristol and yet not a drop here in Gloucester since very light rain this morning....at least its cooler...

Same in Stroud! Had a little heavy rain late morning, you’d never know now, even dust has dried out to dust again… little storms popping up around Stroud, but no direct hit likely a the moment…

Kicked off here in West Wilts with a fairy active cell. Moderate to heavy rain, perfect to soften up the ground in time for the possibility of more torrential downpours tonight/tomorrow.

Had to post this the moment i saw it the GFS 12z is absolutely crazy. Way out in Fl so i doubt it will ever happen but the values on it are completely bonkers with most of england and wales getting over 1500 j/kg of CAPE  for 5 days straight with dewpoints of 18-20 and supercell composites of 6. Im betting that it will be gone in the next run but its still crazy to look at 😁

constant rumbling coming from somewhere even tho the sky looks too bright for storms..., still had a two minute downpour which has left that classic earthy smell

Not sure exactly where it is as we’ve just had one overhead shotgun bang. It’s active but where I don’t know.

Rain has now stopped. Very muggy.

Well if the only storm I get this month was the one this afternoon in exeter than that’s fine by me! Absolute belter in exeter. Rainfall like I’ve never seen. Superb. Saw some nice towers going up over towards Dartmoor on my way home so may be some more later!

Pretty much all the models are now pointing towards plumeage at the end of next week, which is bl00dy typical as I am away in Scotland. 2-3 nights of imported storms are bound to happen!

Ideal sky for watching storms and structure, small cells forming in an otherwise clear sky. Very rare really.
