Anyone slightly concerned with the overnight temps for snowfall?

Yes, as usual for my area it’ll probably stay at 2 degrees right through the night.

Certainly around and west of the m6, will take some intensity to bring the snow line down. closer to the m6 more likely to see accumulations in intensity. fine east of m6.

The uppers with spell are pretty crap, that’s the issue. Shave a couple of degrees off the uppers and it’d have been all snow.

Once the shower train aligns to affect further N later on, it’s going to be very icy here.

I'm surprised it looks mostly sleet in Wales if the radar is correct, thought they would at least get Snow in the mountain areas

Had some clear views of the mountains today from here, they’re not white!

As Aaron said the uppers are poor to prove the point it’s only sleeting on the isle of sky but at least we are heading to the cold part of the day

Not expecting any snow here in blackburn tonight..either going to be below me on Merseyside or above me Lancaster area according to the models I've seen.

Any wintry mix is well to the south west of here at present...very Cheshire Gappy.  Still frost hasn't left most surfaces here...probably maxed out at zero degrees.  Might get a sprinkling of the white stuff before the nights out.

Temps have kept falling away from their peak of 5 at lunchtime, 1.6 now. Just been out, real slushy mix out there.

Mate, go on the Met office website weather map. They have Blackburn right in the sweet spot for snow.

Also at this range, met office weather app is mostly always accurate and it is showing light snow through the night and tomorrow morning for Blackburn area.

Seems to be stuck at 2c round here, pavements are quite slippery due to remaining frost in certain parts despite it raining too, if it gets cold enough tonight the pavements will be pretty nasty, gritters out for the roads though

No snow here today although yesterdays slightest dusting is still fairly intact due to last nights -6c minimum only reaching -1c under pretty much constant fog.

We’ve certainly drawn the short straw today, especially with others getting snow or clear skies and winter sunshine.

maybe a few showers later but I certainly wouldn’t put my last fiver on waking up to a decent covering in the morning.

Just been over to Clitheroe and back to collect our Christmas Byrnes wine box and it was highs of 1ºC

Absolutely no snow on the tops that way at all; so will see what happens

It's 0ºC here now back home
