A sunny start here, currently 16.7C. We not only dodged the storms here yesterday afternoon, but also the bulk of the rain, only had 1.8mm yesterday afternoon/evening.

Looks like showers forming again this afternoon and then some more general rain early tomorrow which will be welcome.

Clear blue skies at 6.30 have quickly given way to quite extensive cloud cover.

Garden got a good watering and will probably again today.

Sporadic showers on and off here, everything looking much less dusty and dry, but it is surface, as said need sustained week or two of rain to bring conditions anywhere close to nearer average time of year.

Hot sunshine strips water clean quick.

Well it rained virtually none stop last night so had a decent refill. Sunny spells, windy and up to 23c currently. Very pleasant out.

Squelchy ground for my morning run around 6am.  Mist over the fields with some sun poking through above.  Big change on the last month!

Been frequent, heavy showers from the SW for the last hour...reverting to type fort these parts, hope the settled weather makes a return soon.

A nice sunshine and showers day. Hopefully some of the cells get strong enough to produce some lightning later.

Definitely seem to have got the worst of today's conditions. There's a line of heavy showers from Warrington to Bury/Rochdale that keeps on producing heavy rain every 15 mins or so. 5 or 10 miles either side will wonder what I'm moaning about. Currently 15c and 8mm of rain.

Had some rumbles of thunder yesterday when the front first passed over but then just had rain the rest of the evening into night, shame the storms weren't very potent, sun is back out again today

Just had some big drops of convective rain pass through here not long ago, nothing too noteworthy other than it disappearing just as suddenly as it appeared and back to the familiar convective cumulus skies once again.

Scientists say water temperatures are as much as 3 to 4C above the average for this time of year in some areas.

Torrential rain. No lightning yet but probably only a matter of time with this cell.

Really kicking out strikes now. Lightning has exploded on the radio could be from multiple cells though.
