Both Birmingham and Manchester under storms must be the heat island effect

Finally joining the party...Flash of lightning and instant rumble of thunder (another one).  Heavens have opened.

Bit lively with the lightning 🌩 to our south just now. Torrential rain and frequent thunder. Lightning seems to be fairly elevated.

Just driven though a torrential storm. Ethiad through to Mosside. Shotgun thunder and flooding everywhere.

Visiting a friend.

Wow probably the loudest crack of thunder I've been under must have been directly overhead.  Instant flash and rumble.  Belting it down too.  Thankfully short lived and sporadic...anything of duration at this intensity would cause severe flooding.

Had it doing a tour of the High Peak for a few laps around the Goyt holding point, Ryanair passengers besides EK were also getting a nice view.

a few rumbles near Congleton and a moderate shower, seems to be a lot of cells popping off to the west of the Derby supercell

I see you've ventured to the dark side. Must be frustrating not getting interesting weather.  That's normally our script.

Another storm incoming flashes to my south and rumbles of thunder.

Seem to have done really well for storms so far this season.
