That Winchester cell just went up to my East! And the thunder wasn't quite loud enough to get here. Thought I head some a couple of times but might have been planes? Goodness knows! Otherwise it's all missed me too! So close but so far

Size isn't everything! Size does not make it a supercell, although there have been some apparent right turning cells in the Midlands, and the Basingstoke cell could be doing that now too.

Turns out that I was looking at the different cell in Crawley, whoops!

I'm un-calling it.  The blotches east of London look rather interesting though

Cells popping off in the West Midlands again 😮. We had 40c last summer with no thundery breakdown. Today we have this. Just shows what can happen if we have the right ingredients whether its hot or not.

Apparently there's been a sighting of a funnel cloud near Newark

Makes sense, given what I saw earlier, that storm with the nub thingy coming off the bottom was headed that way

I think it's over for me here in Notts, unless we get surprised by a late bloomer, I was just a little too far west to get a direct hit. Heard some loud thunder and saw some cool cloud formations though.

Heavy rain but not much with thunder now, real time lightning map looks quieter than earlier this afternoon

Having a laugh now everything is going 10-15 miles to the east yet again.

I don't know what it is with Sheffield but the storms seems to go north east south and West of here it drives me up the wall.

Cold and wet now here in Leicester. It’s more like drizzle now. Is that is for the East Midlands today then?
