Morning everyone 🙂

My apologies if someone has already posted this, but the U.K. Meto have just issued another yellow thunderstorm warning for today. 🌩️⛈️👍🏻

Out of my area… But good luck to everyone in the warning area who’s after a storm. ⛈️🙂👍🏻

I'm surprised this corner is in the warning. Every forecast last night was missing us out lol. Looks like it's slowly coming this way with a tail in the channel. From how it looks won't be over us long, more behind?

Cells trying to get going around IOW area, not much to them at the moment though and I've not seen any flashes.

That's one tasty radar further south and west. @TwisterGirl81 getting some decent rain it looks like!

It looks like we had moderate rain about 10mm, not the 25mm some sites were predicting. All the heavier torrential rain seems to have been towards south central and they got the thunderstorms too so it did track further east, not west.  Still at least it’s the most rain we’ve had in nearly a month and half and I’m hoping we get thunderstorms later even though I much prefer night thunderstorms, you could say for here it was underwhelming, still thunderstorm and heavy rain starved

Never mind, read it now, it's due to the amount of rain falling in the band, plus frequent lightning, which sounds like from reports in here is often CG

Quite heavy rain at Heathrow this morning, nothing thundery. Looks like clearer skies moving in soon, hopefully will help storms develop later

Rain hitting now. It's been a long time since I saw the sky this dark during the day.

Cloud heights are 10K plus.

Ooh, I'd like to be in Holland today. Shades of late August 2015 when I was lucky enough to be in the middle of their MD forecast!

Not had a huge amount of thunder and lightning but that was another huge ground shaking +IC bolt.

Nice rumble of thunder to wake me up. Hopefully whatever is approaching from the SW gives us something good.

Sunlight streaming through the windows half an hour ago, now it looks like 10pm out there.

Could contain:

Cracking storm here,an hour and a half from distant rumbles in the channel to distant rumbles moving away over the Downs.

Half an hour of lightning and thunder pretty close by with two house shaking cracks.

Daytime darkness at one point and biblical rainfall.

I would give the storm 6/10.

Our first of 2023!
