Currently between Buxton and Macclesfield. Getting concerned that the modelled storms are those across NW England. If that is the case then i've missed them.

UKV has discrete cells popping up further S of your location later, leading to a potential MCS through NE Mids into Lincs and parts of Yorks closer to sunset. Not saying it'll play out that way, more that there's a long way to go!

All we ever seem to get over here, these days, is unremitting heat and humidity: I've nae seen a decent storm in years!

Latest run from Arome also showing a similar MCS for the East Midlands northwards into Yorkshire this evening. Infact, although it also shows new developments to the west of the Peak District in the next couple of hours, it has shifted the main focus eastwards 🤔

Also a line of storms in Channel, might be interesting for Kent later! It's so warm and humid right now, more so than expected

a bit naff here, looked ever so promising earlier, Ac Cas towering into Cb's but then seemed to decay readily giving just pockets of rain in the NE, and noe just a vast swathe of mid-level crud spoiling any surface-based convection

Feels just as hot at yesterday now, once again we missed all the proper rain... maybe a couple of mm if that.

Back edge of that storm north of Crewe half an hour earlier first photo and some generally turbulent clouds.

Monitoring the stuff over Welsh border perhaps it will electrify soon.

It's rare not to see a storm look like that in that area of northern France.

Can see the anvil from the storms to the west including further convection and a lot more convection here now the sun has came out, very warm and humid still. Keeping an eye on what those cells in the SW Midlands do as it all seems to organising into one big line.

Anvil spreading out with some hail and frequent lightning with this storm. Imagine this over Congleton @Turquoise.

At my local vantage point watching these decaying imports. Not really worth driving up here so far! Very high base, not a lot happening other than a downburst visible miles away to the west

Lightning activity appears to be transferring further east. Showers/storms spotting the Hampshire coastline and panicking. If I’m lucky I might get a soggy mess in a couple of hours.

What’s evenrone using for lightning apps/websites?

Nothing seems to work on my iPhone. Not even netweathers. Real-time lightning is patchy. Shows their being nothing over most of England or is that the case, even the channel.

Not likely, it’s heading for Kent.

I’m just coming down to Winchester and about to drive through (other half actually driving) the convective sloppy seconds from the channel. Convective messiness, yuck!
