Just heard thunder on the Bournemouth v Spurs game. The crowd even cheered it!

As seems to be a normal pattern here in East Peterborough edge of the fens main thundery stuff to the north and some to the south but overhead blue sky

First rumble heard here in wgc...what a change from half hour ago...

CGs and nice structure visible to the north. Believe it or not I still haven't had a storm in this country (dozens in USA this month but nothing here), so this looks to be probably the 8th near-miss of 2023.

Shame that storm only got going as it had already past however some extremely solid looking convection about 20 or so miles to my west heading this way!

Yeah cheeky little storm rumbling away along with heavy rain. Couple of loud cracks of thunder in the mix too.
