There is some odd lighting coming from inland for some reason

That is a monster shelf on that cam as well.

Noticed that too but wasn't sure. If it were day still there would be some stunning photogenic structures.

Very bright flashes on this cam currently -

Absorb the views from our Sandown Webcam on the Isle of Wight looking across the South Coast. Check out the lovely sandy beaches and boats sailing past.

Nice one. Frequent, and some look positive, too.

A number of elevated thunderstorms developing on the S coast... Not sure models were particularly keen in recent runs for this to happen.

The amount of lightning in the channel right now is pretty nuts! Just shows never to write any event off too early.

Can you give some info on what's happening to the east its just turned into rain

Incredible display now to my south west. Big forks. Someone is getting a right hammering.

Whatever just moved over me has just produced a wind gust, temp cooled by 2c since about 10 mins ago and it’s rotating

With large thunderstorms being present earlier, there may be a bit of cold pooling about potentially? Unfortunately, I don't expect to see much/any more lightning from this mass of rain.
