Could do with some cloud to put a lid on the temperatures and the thaw. Met office has us climbing to 5C today. Enough to take the lot away!

Respite now  in a dry sector. Streamer still looks loaded behind.

Looks like we have another heavy burst of ppn approaching us. I suspect this one will be the last of the snow (inland). Already sleet at the coast.

I just want to say, how happy I am for all in this group. All the time we spend show chasing and talking about it, this morning means the most to us. I appreciate that some of us (not all unfortunately) have got what we deserve. Oh, and we are the most respectful when it comes to the Mod discussion as we don't post about our region there unlike a lot of the southerners.

Keep up the great work everyone.

It's a real pick-me-up for me 🙂

Love the snow anyways; but with having to have another operation tomorrow (which is very much a needs/must unfortunately); it's lifted my spirits too as this, hopefully, is the end to nearly 2.5 years of nerve pain and a proper head mash that I could have done without!

Has been coastal sleet since 4am. Snow inland at landfall.

Looks like the current band of snow is heading north at the moment, not sure what is supposed to happen to it, will it merge with the band over Scotland and sink south?

also some really bright echos over Northern Ireland.

Nice to wake up to about 2 inches of snow at the most. I'm being realistic here not exaggerating amounts haha, this is not a severe event. Seen far better but this will do and I'm satisfied now. Unfortunately though we've got some milder air moving through in the next few hours so this probably won't last on lower levels.

No consistency in intensity, just moderate then lighter again but at least no signs of rain yet though.

This; we've had lots of light snow, then heavy, then really fine, back to heavy and now back to fine again...

At least you got a decent covering, we got a partial dusting and that's it, nothing what has been falling is laying at all. North Lancashire should be the (lying) snow free zone!

It is interesting seeing these rainfall shadows though, sadly only occur when it's comes to snow than rain.

Anyone got rain? Just out of interest.

Next patch is just about to hit Kirkham and it’s sort of ice pellets.
