I seriously can't wait for this to be over I'm on edge I'm feeling sick quite abit of damage in my garden now

Sit tight, it will pass.  Sounds like your getting it quite rough.  Not much support am I?  The wind fears me too.  I'm watching old episodes of Time Team with my headphones in and the volume turned up, as well as checking this thread, it's a good distraction not hearing all the gusts.

A notable thing tonight is the pressure gradient north to south. Extremely intense. 950mb in Stornoway and 1004mb in Kent. Not so often you see such a huge difference like that in our small part of the world.

A mini squall has just passed through giving the strongest gust of winds so far but nothing too extreme...a raging south westerly will always affect west facing coastal areas more than those sheltered inland.  Looks particularly dicey for the red warning in North Scotland

I wonder if this was the feature the UKV was trying to pick-out, albeit on the model run it was supposed to have passed at 11pm and not 1am.

Concerned about reports from the region further North. But as storms go Isha hasn’t been potent here. Nothing exceptional at all - yet.

A quick inspection of the garden in the dim light shows no obvious damage. Far too dark still to check the roof but it’s still on!

hope everyone is ok.

For about an hour after I got in bed, 11-12pm, it was really kicking off and I was just listening for the sound of things breaking. Then quite abruptly it died down quite a lot. Going to go for a nose about and check everything is still there.

Nothing that significant in terms of wind here overnight. We did have some more potent gusts around midnight, but no different to a standard winter low pressure system. I was expecting it to be much worse given the forecast and warnings.

Quick morning assessment we've lost pretty much all of our 6 ft garden fence bit of front and back garden. Small tree out of gardens gone down. Lots of reports to building damage in carlosle

Its breezy but dry for the time being.

Not a particularly bad night no damage though my son said it was rough in stewarton  in Ayrshire with ridge tiles off and fence down

I wonder if Tuesday/Wednesday is going to be the same places.

If it was loose or close to falling, I'm sure that will be the straw so to speak.

Windy here last night but not as bad as feared and a bright breezy morning now. My sympathies with all who have been badly affected by wind and flooding in my old home towns of Blackpool and Lancaster and also further north into the Lake District.

The night/morning passed quite uneventful, thankfully.  Everything literally IMBY seems to be in its place and I haven't gained any items either.  Road appears free of brick or slate.  Heard some decent gusts, thankfully that was all I heard. Glad majority of us escaped unscathed, sorry for those now facing repairs and the cost of any damage.

A bright sunny start, yes it's a bit blowy still, 7.1°C.  Felt pleasant out feeding the birds earlier.
