We all have our weather preferences ..
but I can't think many will favour today's offering !
My curtains are still closed but I can hear the wind and rain beating hard on the glass.
Nasty to be out in that.

An absolutely horrible day at the East Coast (again), blowing a gale and heavy rain. Plenty of surface water flooding. We really could do with a dry spell, and the incessant gales mean that I can't get on with a couple of outside jobs that need doing. Unfortunately yesterday was the one fine day, but we had to go out.

30-70mm for tomorrow too!

24mm so far. High res suggested about 30mm which we'll probably reach with any later showers. Then, another 20mm before months end according to the GFS, so probably reaching 150mm in total. Had 144mm in October, 101mm in November. The wettest month was July at 150mm!

A wet morning nad the normal squelching to the compost bin.

More rain to come and the wind now getting up to add to the party later.

Some local flooding due the local brook blocking the culvert as old bits of trees left in the brook bed wash down to block the culvert yet again

Popped into the NW thread and its lively over West, wonder if the Pennine Weather shield will keep us 'Easties' sheltered this eve?

Got enough wet land round these parts tbf, 'springs' have already sprung before new year which is never a good sign locally....

Well the weather improved for 3-4 hours around here yesterday late morning/early aft. It came back with a vengeance in the form of very heavy showers, incredibly windy overnight and very heavy showers. Still it was nice to see the sky a little yesterday and the moon yesterday evening in between the showers. Hopefully the recycling is ok! 🙂

Pretty wet then. Another miserable day, though okay between the showers. Fed up with this wind too!

Looks like a break from the windy weather if tonight's run is correct still unsettled. Still wet though as this month tries to make the year the wettest on record. It won't do it here but it's trying hard.
