Currently 3.5C here in Lydd and rising

Same here, temps rising as cloud moves in, pretty well all cloudy now.

You might be in a sweetspot tomorrow if anything at all happens along with our comrades in Kent. Fingers crossed you guys get some, pics required if you do!

UKV 18z brings the snow a tiny bit further inland than the 15z, at least it is adjusting the right way more in line with current radar

Just hoping that it all goes 50 miles north to bring in some proper stuff! I think it’s wait and see what happens now!

❄️❄️Heavy snow symbols just gone up for both Eastbourne and Hastings.🙈

Might even get a warning🤪

Just to add, some Northward adjustment could benefit all.

Here's how, it might start a sleety mix on the coast and snow further inland, as the better dewpoints dig in later and the precipitation clears from the North, it should turn to snow on the coast as it clears.

I’d ignore those apps . They’re generally useless .

This Atlantic low and its associated precip has been a long winded saga with the models terrified of breaching the southern snow barrier !

I would keep low expectations as both the GEM and ICON have now edged the precip further south .

So just when you think there’s some north momentum another run pops up saying no!

I know the apps are useless, but theire has to be some human input?

The point being we have only seen this threat introduced this evening.

Cloud has been the forecast for Wednesdsy for days now.

Not expecting snow at 9am if the app says so🤣

I do think it might provide some hint only...

So now the French steal our snow in Winter, and thunderstorms in the summer.

Its OK frenchies, we get it. The middle finger couldn't be any larger.

Bitter pill to swallow for many of us. Huge build up and chase. I guess it just wasnt to be for this cold spell. Next chase now on.

Temp has shot up (to be fair, as predicted) so need to wait for it to drop again in the early hours as the wind goes back to the east.

It was -1.9c at 8pm now it’s 3.7c. DP has levelled out around zero, hopefully that’ll stay below freezing at least.

Out of interest, does anyone else seem to find that the Met constantly underpredicts the min low temp overnight?  Last night -3 was predicted for my area (South Croydon) whilst the weather station in the garden said -5.4.  Tonight it has +1 all evening but the weather station is reading -2.7.  I don't notice this with daytime temps.  Noticed it over the last couple of years too.
