Yea, a bit brigther today, not raining here, ground is drying out. Saw my first snowdrops of the year too in the usual spots. Spring isn't far away now.

Definitely a south is best type of day.

drizzle here since mid morning and although the radar showed it clearing away from this immediate area for a while, it certainly carried on.

maybe it doesn’t take into account low clouds and altitude but let’s see if the next dry slot ends up being dry.

Got mine done there other night whilst it was dry here

Just a quick 'contactless' wash as it's all I can manage currently after my op (can't bend down/squat down too much); but it'll do for now. The benefit of a silver car; looks clean even when dirty 😉

Not doing it today; it's far too windy. I'll end up covered more than the car 😂

It's still dry here; just really blustery. Don't fancy doing it in this and TBH it's hardly moved since I did it last Wednesday, so it's fine for now... My OCD can cope haha

Once again I find myself wishing I lived up a big hill in Bacup or Rossendale.

‘Cold air already established across the northern UK is likely to extend to all parts through next weekend. As it does so there is a risk of some significant snowfall for parts of the UK, perhaps central areas most prone ‘

A rather drab Sunday here so far.. patchy light rain/ drizzle this morning, has dried up since lunchtime, but alot of grey cloud about, and generally uninspiring.

Its at least mild as they say, over 11 degrees.

Coming week holds lots of interest from a wintry weather perspective. As ever a nowcast situation speculating where snow may fall. There is potential for significant snowfall anywhere in the region, but good to keep feet on the ground, equally it could be a cold rain fest with snow reserved for high ground only..

Spah1 and here’s me wishing I lived at the seaside.

anyway I’ll let you know what it’s like although I’m expecting the the south to end up with it all, either that or it pretty much stops north of the border.

Iceaxecrampon I don't feel it's a proper chase until the MOD thread becomes an entirely SE based chase. What's the matter with them they do have their own regional thread.

First up is Tuesday's system clearing south, some more northern and eastern parts of the region seeing some possible back edge snow.

Back home I noticed the wind on the M6 some moderate buffeting on the tank probably not helped by me tearing around at 90 mph plus 😂

Would love to see different but a messy wintry mix I think at best currently Wed/Thurs cold rain, sleet, wet snow, freezing rain even all in the mix a tricky forecast for sure. Any real interest remaining mid month onwards though... really hope we aren't just endlessly kicking the can down the road for 4c, a frost and a wintry shower.
