 Weather-history   Find this post very interesting, so from March last year till midnight tonight., the region has had its wettest 12 months on record since 1873.  Wow.

 Had Worse If there's no hill fog I won't need to travel far as 1 minute to the back-garden and I can see all the way down to the Cat+Fiddle road  another 1 minute to the front-garden and there's the southeastern edges of Kinder in full view. I'm optimistic of having snow on the ground at these heights (210m) but prepared for a bit of a hike if I need to get to the 'deeper stuff' before it's all gone.

seriously thought as per the last few days accumulating snow limited to 150m,sleet and wet snow down to lower levels depending on intensity and Evap cooling.

 cheshire snow Atleast rhats a positive.  Ill get snow on the roof but debatable if the grass will get a covering.

Not sure it’s going to amount to much other than white hills… our decorator doing bathroom lives in meltham so could be a bit wintry drive for him 

chilly walk to Lidl and M&S this morning…. Popping down to fish van tomorrow could have snowflakes a fluttering on our walk down and up again… lighting fire just now

Take out the 1-7 Dec and 6-19 Jan, this winter has been a shocker for cold and wintry weather. The heavy snow on 2 Dec was a major event and has helped keep it out of the very poorest ranking winters for snow at least, and the 15-19 Jan was a decent cold spell, tarnished by the snow on the 16th turning to rain. However the rest of the winter consign to the bin really. February a complete write off the sleet on 8 Feb a kick in the teeth, hardly any frost. Also a wet dull winter but thankfully no major flooding events.

3 wintry weeks, cancelled out by 10 very non wintry ones. 

Winter 24-25 must do better overall.

Buxton Weather Watch going for a few cm of snow there and over the higher Peaks tomorrow - Buxton was one of the few areas that did well out of the last battleground event. MO maybe waiting for precipitation to arrive before issuing a hill snow warning stranger things have happened  
 

Might see some sleet but not expecting much here other than cold rain on the Cheshire Plain tbh.

Yeah I'm expecting cold rain at this elevation, any wintriness above 200m.

BBC forecast just now, snow 200m and above, main areas to note, N Wales, Peaks and Pennines.  Lower levels rain.

Looking at the UKV I would say 300m+ event if that.

Weather has been rubbish here for the last few weeks, worst winter in quite sometime something I fear we will have to get used to
