Morning.  Candy floss coloured sky earlier here, min of -1.6°C last night.  Frost on roofs but not on the bird table, their water had a layer of ice on.  Precipitous echoes on the radar but it's still dry, dull and grey here.

0.6°C and pure rain thanks to an inversion aloft. Not too far from freezing rain conditions though.

6c now drizzle… two hours clearing flower beds and tidying up drive/beds/plants… picked some daffodils 🌼… jumper wash… new shower taking shape… hopefully finished and usable by Friday…

walk into town 3pm, husband has dental appointment and I’m popping into sowerbutts… Paddy has made Spanish tortilla and chicken croquettas for tea… my favourite 🤩

Then Luton vs City… couldn’t get any tickets… will have to settle for watching it on itv ⚽⚽⚽⚽

2 hours of prepping the door frames for glossing, two washes done and the rest of the dry stuff put away.

Nice your showers taking shape. Beats standing in the living room getting dripped on.

Coming home from Manchester just now and it's absolutely miserable, heavy rain.  The bright spells we get are just  not long enough.

Iceaxecrampon  That’s low level cold sleety rain in early March that sadly memories are still fresh of that hideous Thursday supposed snow-rain event a few weeks back that looked a wet snow fest a few days out but was cold rain for the majority away from Buxton and East of the Pennines. High ground again could catch a few flakes though I suppose.

Heavy showery outbreaks of rain here the last hour, chilly too roll on Spring proper now 🌸 ☀️

The mini drought has ended here 😂

Some heavy outbreaks of rain moved through late afternoon and looks like the default pattern has reset again now.

Iceaxecrampon just one thing missing - the arrows 😀

Not a bad morning but an increasingly miserable afternoon as fine drizzle became heavier drizzle before turning to heavyish rain.

It’s eased of a bit again now but still a poor day overall.

A rather miserable day weatherwise, moderate rain for a few hours, cleared mid afternoon, rather cold as well.

Friday- Saturday has interest for snow lovers, low thicknesses sub 528 dam air..probably a high ground affair, but in any heavy bursts certainly snow could fall to low levels. Cold sleety rain to greet Spring isn't what many want no doubt, March can be a very raw cold month.

Another marginal event coming up, slightly better uppers than last time but I’ll expect it to be snow 300m+ again that way I won’t be disappointed haha.

HafrenLMP1 I was hoping we'd have some kind of repeat this winter but wasn't to be. Even watered down but can't even get that. Probably too late now, could get a "mini beast" ala 17th-18th March 2018 but not looking likely.

Looking at the radar, I’ll be surprised if today stays dry as long as the forecast said.

Last night they were going for it to be dry until lunchtime but the speed the front is heading across the Irish Sea, I’d expect it to reach here, the very east of the region by mid morning and give us another few hours cold soaking.
