Few dry hours mid morning.  Been underneath or just on the edge of that stream going through the region, odd brief bright spell but had showers on and off, typical April weather.  Really, really want May to shine.

Weather-history the western  parts of the region look ok but Will  and Ian look like they’re getting wet

Scuba steve  just walked in the living room as the Granada regional weather was on and wish I’d have turned the other way.

Apparently Saturday looks to be the best day with plenty of sunshine but then she put in the disclaimer that the more eastern parts will keep the cloud😩

Sunday is supposed to be a more cloudy day so whether my cloud is more cloudy than Saturdays cloud I’ll have to wait and see🤔

either way it looks like west is best and east is least so maybe I can make the short walk over the hill from East Lancashire into West Yorkshire and bask in their wall to wall sunshine😂

A nice day forecast for tomorrow, but we shall see. A Crewe win in the big game v Wrexham would make it a really nice day. My neighbour is heading to N W Scotland on Sunday whilst we're heading to the East Coast. Guess who's happier?!

Local trudge. Salwick. More like the Norfolk Broads. Half decent when Sun broke.

Shap at -0.1 already, another air frost. After a frost free first half to April, second half could end up quite frosty in Cumbria. Advise anyone potting tender plants etc to wait a while longer yet.

Good Morning.  Chilly start -0.3°C, Macc Forest  -1°C.  There's a slight layer of frost on the bird table.  Lovely clear skies currently, 5.35am.

It certainly wakes you up outside.  Lovely clear cloudless sunrise, and a layer to scrape off the car. Make the most of it, enjoy the day. 😁😁🌞

Thought I’d get up to see the sunshine before the expected cloud starts to block it out across this part of the region.

it’s a lovely morning so far though with a good coating of frost on the usual prone surfaces.

@Rush2019 great photos.

The last one looks like the sun from Telly Tubbies is going to pop up.

A totally sunny day and a Crewe Alex win this afternoon v Wrexham to confirm their place in their playoffs would do nicely. However, already signs of it clouding over after a gorgeous start and not holding my breath on the Alex.

 A Face like Thunder

Clouds were predicted to develop but this is a stratocumulus bank that has rolled in rather than developed. Also note even today, there are showers coming into eastern parts of England. Met Office has underestimated both.

A nice day with frequent sunny intervals. NW wind is still there but much lighter. Dry.

Had  an awesome walk up Lantern Pike, bit nippy on the top, had a sit down and made a hot drink with my jet boil and gas  canister.  Lovely view over to Kinder and behind me Manchester was lit by the sun.  Beautiful, mainly sunny 12°C..

As outdoor evenings go in 2024, this is pretty glorious. Thankfully the forecast overcast conditions came and went. Nice to be positive for a change. The blossom on the tree does seem a couple of weeks behind.
