interesting develop development to our west not sure if there’s any circular rotation in that at the moment but looks more than a shower. Could be a couple of hours worth of rain out of this as it’s slow moving to add to the already waterlogged ground due to the weeks of rainfall.

There is even a thunderstorm alert out for here, although I doubt that will come to fruition

Just to answer my last post it does actually look like this area of rain is the bottom end of a weakening filling low pressure system to our north

Could have done with an ark yesterday, the road between the A38 and Frampton Cotterell was so flooded I had to do a U turn. Normally I'll chance a big puddle but this looked like it was 18" to 2' deep. Not seen flooded roads and fields like this in a good while.

At least the sun peeped out occasionally.

And today’s sunny day has so far featured cloud and rain… Sigh. Oh well at least it’s 4°C…

This is actually infuriating. It is raining lightly and persistently yet the sun is shining hazily too.

Morning All after an overnight low of -1.3°C at: 02:11currently, 6.3°C and RH97% with light air movement from the SSW - SW, some light drizzle and sunny spells, so a Heinz 57 day after rainfall at 07:50.

Meanwhile the view from Above shows the early morning rain pulling away to the SE

On Golden sands a fair number of folks out in the water even with minimal surf

MP-R I anticipated the Met Office's balls-up so arranged to paint the bathroom. If they'd said it was going to rain I would have arranged a day out.

Clouds have been pepping up over the last hour and it's now raining.

Just watched several Buzzards, a Red Kite, possibly a Marsh Harrier and Hobby all riding the same thermal.

Sat under the sail having lunch, but it's pretty chilly. Patches of blue sky to the North West.

dr weather It's this pointless cloud that's left over that needs to go! No rain about anywhere now but it's still so flippin grey!

Beautiful now. Plenty of Sunshine. 🌤️

Got the Gladioli bulbs in today, in the first of the new raised beds. Must be about 45 of them. 🪻

MP-R It's brightened up here. Not sure when, I've only just emerged from a freshly painted bathroom!

So the good news. It was sunny for most of today.

The bad news is tomorrow looks very soggy, roll on Monday.

Nice day..work first...boo..then purchased ludicrously cheap plants...brief watch of the towns football match...pitiful....then sat watching a friend fish for a while...until he lost a big fish...the language made me blush so I went home.

I've brought a blueberry plant, a blackberry plant and a Pulmonaria ... PS - I planted a new tree last Autumn - it has silver furry buds that open but there are only like 3/4 opened over the past few weeks. Have I broken it?

Finally a decent frost last night with it getting down to -1.2°C. Still only had 9 air frosts this winter and not many days left for more. Might just about manage another one tonight as it's 0.3°C now.
