Just landed at Cardiff airport from Barbados. 32c when we left last night.

 *Stormforce~beka* Totally agree. Like so many things, they mess with the recipe and they are never the same. I miss Ricicles which were dropped because ‘they contained too much sugar’. Doesn’t most things?

Wow! Surprise snowfall in bath!

I was at Downton yesterday. There was the most incredible downpour. It was heavy when I left Downton and as I drove up and over the A360 from Salisbury and then on the road past Stonehenge to shrewton there was some heavy blobs of snow mixed in with rain and sleet

just woke up to some heavy snow that had fallen here in Frome

I’d say a good inch had fallen, although it does look like it’s starting to melt quite quickly

Probably was a little bit deeper when it first fell, and I’m guessing that would’ve been around 3 to 4 o’clock a nice wrap around looking at the radar

To all the moaning mad thread ‘we wont get snow now’ brigade only highest hills etc etc well south Glos at 150’ asl it’s snowing nicely, approx 2” very nice suprise for me this morning and its my birthday weekend yessssss

Morning All, so Spring has a 100% wet start, a good way to follow a wet winter! The overnight low of 0.5°C at: 06:04 has risen to 5.8°C, RH87% with a light breeze in from the SW.

From Above, the radar confirms the partially cloudy start this morning along the coast.

On Golden sands nice patches of blue sky

Didn’t have to go far to find snow. Just driven to Oxford and between Avonmouth and just before Swindon, some decent amounts of snow, then suddenly nothing.

Well, what was supposed to be a predominantly dry day after some early hours rain has turned into a day of early hours snow followed by a morning of cold drizzle which looks like persisting into the afternoon.  That’s 50% of the weekend gone with any dry weather non existent.

Taking the dog for a walk along the canal at Bathampton tomorrow, really hoping we can manage a dry day as I would love to return home dry for once!

Afternoon All,

 

Well when I got out of bed this morning at 5.30am to hear running water outside my initial thoughts were damn rain again, my jaw hit the floor when it was chucking it down with snow.

 

Sadly too little too late and too wet.

River was high.Lovely setting.Few folk stopped for a fishing type chat.Fished into dusk...fish started feeding..breeze dropped...a minor sunset....then home.Truly love the outdoors.

 Dorsetbred Went to visit my mum as it's her birthdya. Went in scarf hat and glvoes and thick winter coat
