Sleet with occasional burst of snow. Tbh the direction the models were going yesterday I'm surprised we've even got this.

andy_leics22 If I'm reading the models right, that intense band is our only hope of seeing proper snow, but it's showing as rain just to my south on the radar.

Arpege continues to tease.

Properly covering here now (Wincle/Roaches area). Amazing what a minimal drop in temperature does.3626B22C-5709-4C3F-B3F1-454CBB446202.thumb.jpeg.fa26d581dd6ea313eee2093ca6429bd8.jpeg

That heavy band is just edging in and falling as light snow so far.

OK. That really heavy band of precipitation is now over me on the radar and nothing is falling.

Really bad over the peaks. Was travelling over to bakewell and nearly went into the back of an Ocado van. Turned back and now safely in Leek.

Don't drive a performance car on snow!!

What surprises me is that the Met Office haven’t cancelled the yellow warning for here. No hint of any sleet or even wet snow just icy cold rain. 😣🤬😬

Derbyshire county council traffic cameras, from the southern end of Derbyshire at willington, to the north at cat and fiddle:

How can we be under torrential precipitation on the radar and nothing falling? God weather is annoying sometimes.

Just had heavy snow here for around 20 mins.Huge flakes now but I think it will be all rain in the next hour.Any lying snow is now quickly melting. They’ll be nothing left by mid afternoon.

More of concern for river levels . After a deluge of rain two days ago , more heavy rain overnight and more tonight, flooding looks like being an issue tomorrow 😞

Only light wet snow despite the radar showing very heavy precipitation, so that's any tiny hope of proper snow gone.
