baddie Met Office long range forecasts are as reliable as the British Weather. The next time they get a long range forecast right it will be the first time, not that I ever read their long range forecasts ,I've got better things to do☺

ANYWEATHER Im sure it will flip to wall-to-wall sunshine after the equinox, like it should be after mild and wet winters. Hoping we get the short unsettled spell out the way by mid-month or just have the Easterly we have right now dominate the whole month

 WYorksWeather

I don't really get your angle on this - are you disputing the New Scientist article and / or the potential effects on the climate of so much Methane being released into the atmosphere (Methane is 100 times more potent a Greenhouse gas than CO2)?

Grey, windy, 8c. Feels more like 4c at the mo.

Huge contrast to the last 2 weeks for me🙄

Well these percentages maybe small but the general consensus among scientists is that they are already altering weather patterns & climate.

Arch Stanton sorry don't adhere to so called science. Their goal posts change every five minutes 😂

ANYWEATHER hope so, we’ve had more than our fair share of dull and wet. I know March can be an iffy month but I hope to god we get a long warm settled spell by April…I couldn’t imagine having another wet and below average sunshine months

SunnyG Yeah I honestly place very little stock in Met Office predictions for the latter half of a month that's only a couple of days in

A decently sunny, still and dry day. If this ends up being accurate, this is a rather good run. Nor a single drop of rain for a week would be just the ticket 😎

Hoping we get a May 2023-style flip later on in the month (I remember models saying it would be a wet month ahead but they were completely wrong), and we get days of 15c and wall-to-wall sunshine

A lovely day... frosty morning with mist, nice sunny afternoon with light winds. Went from a low of -2C this morning to a high of 9C right now. Starting to get those larger diurnal ranges now.

Wet, windy with the added bonus that it’s also chilly. Noice…

Some budding now easily visible on the morning walk. Nice to see early signs of Spring edging in.

I get especially ****** off at this time of year, really fatigued with the lack of warmth, short days, damp etc. I don't mind March being a bit ropey, so long as it stays relatively dry and we get a bit of a warm and settled spell in April.

Being a fair-weather golfer, I think the local courses will need a good few weeks of drying out time to be playable this Spring!

How’s the weather been in the east today? Here in Devon it’s been cold, blowing a hooly and raining, it’s just stopped now, still cloudy though 😦 I can only hope beautiful warm weather will be on the horizon soon 🥹

TwisterGirl81 Started promising, lovely morning, then went pear-shaped. Greyer than Paul Hollywood's barnet out there now, and pretty chilly with it.

If you do stumble across anything warm and dry, please direct it our way and I'll return the favour!

 Mullet 😂

With pleasure, we surely must be all due a long sunny dry spell after the past several months. I’d like to know the reasoning why bar the odd settled period  (few and far between) the weather has either been grey sky’s or wet.

cheeky_monkey god knows how you cope in that kind of cold …how’s the spring and summers there? Temp wise and weather conditions?
