Still no hint of any severe weather coming from BBC Forecasters! 🤔

John Hammond would normally be getting very excited about any Easterly incursion.

Almost like they're not allowed to mention it! And Louise Lear still seems more interested in wearing wacky outfits than giving a detailed forecast.

Well, although I'm neither moaning nor ramping, I just got myself a bright-blue fleecy thing from Lidl. . . I've a feeling I might be needing it! :cold-emoji:

It's getting exciting, isn't it - all this fantasy cold? - I hope it becomes a reality and then we can start moaning about how our faces are freezing off.🥶🤪

Indeed it's not. . . Unlike some of the guff we've had thrown at us, over the years! 🤔

seems like later on in the month there will be snow showers but they must be very light.

What days are you going? Things can get quite interesting down there (warmer then potentially wetter) when a -NAO sets up and sends low pressure down to the Azores and Iberia which looks to be from the 14 / 15th ish.

Following this forum for years are we on the cusp of yet another false Dawn. Fingers crossed for a good cold

spell although I do enjoy not piling through my wood pile to heat the house.

Sounds like there's already some concern about Hadley cell influence, imagine the absolute backlash if yet another cold spell got massively downgraded.
