  1. We have 3-4 cracking storms on Friday evening, constant elevated and pink CG lightning overhead, torrential rain that caused flash flooding in a blink of an eye..but how was your holiday?......
  2. Not had a day like this in a long time, feels properly autumnal. Nice break from the heat and sweating though.
  3. 3-4 storms since around 6pm this evening here. They went in order of appearance to strongest, 1st being the weakest with the odd rumble to lightning every 2-3 seconds during the last storm and Florida style tropical rain with flash flooding in a couple of minutes. Superb evening.
  4. Fantastic just took a direct hit after the one previously passed slightly to the north. Huge rain, flooding the streets all at once and plenty of bright pink CG/Fork lightning. Tremendous evening so far.
  5. My word. Pink CG lighning every 2-3 seconds to my north, west and south west. Fantastic amount of lighnintg, got a mini vid on my phone (iphone so it lacks quality).
  6. Thunder and lightning every 2-3 seconds to my north, south and west. Some brillant bright pink CG. Lightning almost as frequent as el-brumo back in last June.
  7. This is incredible. Bright pink CG thunder, thunder every 10 seconds and it's miles away from here. Fantastic storm, storm of the summer.
  8. Incredible amounts of distant thunder coming from this cell to my W/SW. Almost as frequent as el-brumo last June!
  9. Wow I can hear rumbling to my SW literally every few seconds.
  10. Head on hit with the last downpour here, had white on radar. Winds got up and the rain was intense, visibility was down to metres.
  11. Storm has back built here big time, heavy rain and some huge flashes of lightning.
  12. Storm has backbuilt here and we have moderate/heavy rain with thunder rumbling away once every few minutes.
  13. 2-3 rumbles per minute and constant elevated rumbling. Rain only moderate but fairly impressive here.
  14. Lots of elevated lightning, almost constant rumbling up there.
  15. A couple of rumbles per minute coming from this cell. It's only going to clip here but the cloudscape is impressive.
  16. Thunder in the distance, that cell over West Wolverhampton looks like it could be heading this way outside my window.
  17. Serious cloud looking to my south and heading East of me. Already seen lightning in the distance from it and the cloud base/structure is very impressive.
  18. I'm not sure why everyone is screaming downgrade? As far as I'm concerned anywhere away from SE/East Anglia were never in line for storms, it was just about a very heavy band of rain moving north with convective elements and the odd rumble of thunder. That's what looks like happening? As far as I'm concerned the 'Thunderstorm' threat is far wide and greater tommorrow and Monday.
  19. 2 in 2 for the East mids & Lincs. Can you all feel that sense of shock?!
  20. Given some of the footage and images I've seen around the country as well, particularly in the SE late last night - I don't think we've got lucky with todays storms. They were storms of corse but the entire event was about 10% as good as last June's effort.
  21. We are literally breeding the storms as we speak, it's so frustrating. Even 20-30 miles east could get something, even a few flashes.
  22. Convection all around me passing north, sun is out and skies are looking dark. I wouldn't be surprised to see us breeding the storms yet again.
