  1. I can hear them mate seems to be getting closer too - a few more lightning bolts witnessed too but so far nothing more than plain old thundery rain lol
  2. lol from the Yorkshire storm I have rain and so far 1 flash of lightning and 1 rumble of thunder but at least it's something
  3. Here's hoping! Sky has gone dark to my south now - it looks like it's built back up again but who knows with these things until you are under them!
  4. Yes I can see the radar now it appear to have intensified a bit - keep me updated if you will I wanna know if this is electrified still lol
  5. Which storm is this mate - I am checking Raintoday but it's not updating - what direction is it headed?
  6. Has anyone got an up to date radar grab of the storms currently?
  7. The sky here is just a milky hazy colour - thanks guys for sharing the pics they look awesome!
  8. Been away for 10 mins and look at that over the Leeds / Yorkshire area!!
  9. The batch of t/storms around the Leeds area are more favourable but I am just hoping that the murk and crud which lingered today hasn't hampered the regions chances of them staying active until they reach here. The cell that was around York was really active but then has died a death - perhaps as it's near the coast the north sea breeze may have had an impact?
  10. Damn, the storms look like too far east or dying out before they reach here but could be wrong as I am just using the raintoday radar and it's taking ages to update
  11. Haha ya gotta love the excitement in this thread when storms are approaching. We all love em! (Well most). Just need them to keep their bite while they trundle north - the sky here has broken and some good spells of sunshine now - feeling very muggy and warm.
  12. We have mate - last storms here cut power for 6 hours and dented me car with golf ball sized hail - it was awesome lol That cell headed directly for this region currently around Leeds looks like it's beefing up a fair bit. Any reports from under that appreciated guys :-))
  13. Cheers Gordon - just need them to keep growing and form something memorable :-)
  14. Are these heading North then to Northern England? Can see the radar the past 30 mins or so and they have popped up from nowhere.
  15. I love a good thunderstorm and this year again has been great for my neck of the woods - I have seen some of the largest hail I have ever seen this year which even dented that car a bit. But saying that a risk zone is just that. You may get a storm or you may not but either way even if you don't there's some really interesting weather about. I would say radar watching and checking other posters comments to see what weather they have locally and you can work out which direction any storms are headed. This way you won't be disappointed when or if the storms pass by you and you don't get one. No point in being down about stuff - the weather will do what it want when it wants despite charts and the likes. Happy storm hunting today peeps!
  16. And the last time we were under the same type of warning we had golf ball nearly sized hail I am a bit excited now and more so after Nicks update! Sorry thats from my area anyway.
  17. Thundering here now but infrequent so probably dying off some heavy rain about though
  18. To me this all looks like moving NE from down there so thats me I am off to bed - night all and I look forward to the pics tomorrow!
  19. Does anyone know where the CF is or which way it's headed I can't work it out on sat24?
  20. I thought I heard something you know but thought I was just hearing things
  21. Thanks for that mate - just wondering which way is the CF headed
