  1. Although warm and generally brilliant, I've had to abandon the garden - literally mauled to death by mozzies! Deliberately going to work tomorrow in converse and no umbrella to help along the law of sod - hopefully will bring the Snap crackle and pop our way a bit...
  2. Completely clouded over here in South Essex... still warm though!!
  3. Tonight's looking quiet, although I had the briefest of lights showers here about an hour ago..... Just waiting for the temperature to climb Tues/Weds/Thurs and then hopefully we'll see a bit of Crackle and pop
  4. Anyone remember Frenchie from last year..?. That was a corking non event! - don't think it was the same as el gordo, althought might have been a SE regional thread thing... I don't have the confidence to forecast much more than 48 hours ahead, and even then I keep changing it, but this is the thing I love about weather! It keeps us all on our toes. - for now I think it's all to play for, I think a few of us might have something worthwhile. Fortunate enough to be working from home thus wek so have a whole rig set up just to follow everything. At the moment, l'm looking forward to the developing situation, we all know it'll up and downgrade as Coast says, and certainly for me the soap opera And banter on here beforehand is what makes any significant event that much more special. (and the videos and photos., and tweets) I'm wittering. Blame Wine!
  5. Raining like a beast here at the moment.... all the garden furniture over as well
  6. Hmmm. Didn't expect it to be this gusty- 45mph recorded a moment ago....
  7. Windy at the Estuary also. Quite glad I'm not stuck on one of the isle of wight ferries queued in the Solent right now!!
  8. Very very light rain here. Radar looks like a beast incoming!
  9. Couple bubbling up around South London/Kent... hope it doesn't fizzle before it gets here!
  10. Radar picking up something a bit feisty in the South London Area? Anyone getting anything?
  11. Kudos for the forecasting Surrey! I think Atlantic systems are challenging in a lot of aspects, let alone to forecast - I will be watching it on the radar tonight & tomorrow, as I imagine lots of the folks on here will be. I am hoping that the rain isn't as intense, mainly for everyone who really suffered earlier this week. Having said that, it is pouring again here! Stay safe & dry everyone!- and if you have updates, let's be having them! Jo x
  12. Did the Drive from Bromley-South Essex, took about 2 hours (usually can do in about 35 mins) - rain wasn't the issue, it was the Spray, and silly people driving too fast in it. Definitely less rainfall here in Corringham than in South London, but it's been consistently drizzling all day. All eyes on the east for tonight - our house is on the bottom of the a slope surrounded by marshland... - we're prepared though, from a previous wet episode there's a 1.5ft trench dug all round the conservatory. Hopefully it won't come to being used, but that radar keeps throwing surprises hour on hour.. Stay safe everyone, and thoughts with the guys that have been seriously affected :/
  13. Looking at the NW extra radar, it looks like with every bit the rain edges west, the tail end is beginning to spin a little bit.... round and around we go! Of course I could just be misreading it, but as soon as we have a little clear blob, another one comes back and rains down glorious.....
  14. Think it stopped here for about an hour/hour and a half? It's hacking down again now though.
  15. aaaand after an hour's break we're off again! Torrential in KentHouse/Beckenham Area.
  16. Had about an hour- hour and a half respite from the rain, - it rained all night here.... now the sky looks very dark again..... Looking forward to driving back to Essex in it! weeeee!
  17. In SE London at the moment near crystal palace. Been raining steadily for the last couple of hours now. Very humid, wind has dropped considerably since this morning...
  18. Not a vast amount of Rain, but it's Windy! No more felt left on the shed roof & the Garden chairs are all over the place....
  19. Apologies if it's been posted already/if you know it and have it bookmarked, but this is a pretty cool site to look at some of the Windspeeds... http://www.xcweather.co.uk/
  20. Rain cleared about an hour ago.. it's a bit windy, but not significantly gusting.....yet!
