  1. Veering to a more direct northerly with a colder injection of air no marginality there also there is a little disturbance running down the North Sea could give extreme eastern counties like Norfolk, more in the way of snowfall rather than blink and you miss it snow shower, lucky spots getting 1-3cm.
  2. One day in December in my back yard it reached 16C with limited sun remarkably overcast an extradonairy month for all the wrong reasons, I doubt this will be surpassed anytime soon.
  3. Just had a hail shower odd I got "excited" by a hail shower shows the sad state of affairs
  4. Radar watching for this evening.... There may be some heavy snow showers knocking about particularly north of London.
  5. A few of us could see a covering Issued at: 1159 on Sun 6 Mar 2016 Valid from: 1900 on Sun 6 Mar 2016 Valid to: 0900 on Mon 7 Mar 2016 Wintry showers during Sunday evening and night will allow ice to form readily on untreated surfaces and where showers wash off earlier road treatment. Where showers are most frequent, localised accumulations of between 1 and 3 cm could occur. Please be aware of the potential for difficult driving conditions and slippery surfaces. Wintry showers will continue to run in off the North Sea through Sunday evening and night. Many of these showers will fall as snow, though in areas on and very near the coast showers are more likely to fall as a mixture of sleet, snow and hail. Where showers are most frequent localised accumulations of between 1 and 3 cm could occur, although over the North Yorkshire Moors accumulations are likely to be locally higher and closer to 5 cm. Surfaces which are either untreated or see showers washing off any earlier treatment will readily become icy in these showers. Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk
  6. Nice video thank you for reminding me what snow is and the beauty of watching it fall...you think Devonians have it bad try being a Londoner with the god forsaken UHI effect The only s
  7. Showers continuing to roll in off the North Sea.. Edit: On a separate note E4 at T+36 shows scattered snow showers best chance out this "cold spell".
  8. Anywho GFS 12z maybe something wintry for latter part of Sunday. I do not have much hope being quite deflated by all this snow shenanigans.
  9. Threatening skies to my east..moments later followed by a huge rainbow.
  10. UK on the fringes as per, mid month onwards does look interesting unbelievably it is not time for "hibernators" to call it a day yet. If we could tap into that we would be laughing even this late on, I do not think cold conditions will be for everyone as in all likelihood there would be an abundance of cold rain/sleet down south it does not really bother me. But interesting to see how this pans out could end up with a very chilly Spring stretching to April and beyond? With what the strat is getting up to, Eurasia may be being fooled into winter mode when at a time the landmass is supposed to be breaking out of it.
  11. Just experienced a crazy hail shower the most wintry it has got so far.
  12. Happy Birthday scrat x It really does grind my gears, if that band of precip arrived a little earlier it would have snowed.
  13. Rain/Sleetttttttttttttt zzzzzzz RIP WINTER 15/16 I've had enough!! It is so bloody typical GRRRR
  14. It has grown cloudy here believe it not this is the best shot of the winter..
  15. Is it still? it sure is hugging your part of the world largely the showery precip is out in the channel being wasted, incremental movement...
  16. DPs are perfectly adequate away from coasts our western pals need to spread the love....
  17. Tell me about it I do not have much. These showers moving up from Sussex coast are pivoting towards London area in synergy with that band of precipitation to West Country. What is being seen on the ground folks?
  18. Interestingly overnight South East England is going to experience the coldest temps.
  19. Through Saturday evening into early hours of Sunday, may feature some snow falling for many of us, nothing bothersome, how can snow be? - don't shoot the messenger
