  1. More torture for everyone this weekend by the looks of things, starting to get cross model agreement of another Plume Event on Saturday Night with both the GFS And the ECMWF Now coming together on their thoughts.
  2. Any chance of why not ? Would love to hear your thoughts, have seen some pictures floating around facebook and if it wasnt then I need to re-evaluate pretty much all the HP Supercells I have seen over the last 10 years.
  3. Top part is level with Lincoln now just to Lincolns West, dont think the view from Lincoln would be that good, Sleaford would have the best view looking North West into the action area.
  4. Yep Hence the Urgent nature of my calling for anyone east of there, it's bad luck on Sheffield as this Supercell is right moving effectively and hit the brakes around Nottingham throwing weaker parts north towards Sheffield whilst the Storm ingests all that rich air to its south east, if there is a sea breeeze boundary in that area it could go even more nuts as it heads towards the Coast! Fantastic That would be the ideal location, should be something huge to your west
  5. Is anyone on here near Lincoln or Sleaford and able to get out next 5-10 minutes and grab some pictures, would be VERY Interested in the Structure of this thing.
  6. Wow Latest radar shows this thing killing everything off to it'#s South, Can anyone East of It get any more Pictures, Dare I say it, possibly another Supercell in the same area as last years heading towards Lincs. Would need Pictures though as Radar Proof is very hard with the resolution we have.
  7. Lovely Funnel Cloud, Also a very Nice Wall Cloud there as well. Is this the Notts Storm ??
  8. Looks to be forming a QLCS Now as expected and touted by most of the Forecasts today, damn shame because that Nottingham Storm was starting to Right Move as well and is now going to become part of the line that stretches way South! Paul S
  9. Well was pretty pessimistic yesterday, but the last 6 hours have made up for the last 6 years. Some amazing Cg Lightning pretty much all morning (as is usual with elevated storms) Some in the last hour a little too close for comfort. Did not manage any shots meself this time round but know lots of members from around the South East that have been on Storm Chases over the last few years have absolutely nailed it.
  10. Some of the best Cg's I have seen in the Uk currently watching from me bedroom window about 5 miles to my east, stunning lightning. Happy now
  11. Fantastic Picture Mark, forgot you were now in Nottingham and not NE England - Should have known you would nail that tonight - Great Stuff
  12. Any pictures please guys from near Nottingham, with all these Cg's surely someone has something to upload for us storm starved south easterners..............oh wait and North Westerners
  13. Pmsl, lets just shake on it and say NW & SE England needs to get it's act together and stop having pathetic thundery chances.
  14. Think I would bank that as well now Sam tbh. Btw temperatures on the North Coast of France are shocking, most stations reading 15/15c with thick FOG. Lolz Maybe the French Land will kill em this time and not the Channel, I reckon the Channel must be warmer than Cherbourg for instance
  15. Its gotta be close Kevin 5 in 5 years is pretty appalling and would not even class those as Storms to be honest
  16. Is the SE Due any storms tomorrow then (Must admit have only concentrated on Todays and tonights) Thought I saw somewhere that same places and places further North were in for better chances at more severe storms tomorrow dut to much better dls and stronger southerly winds ? Anyone know whats expected tomorrow, hoping Nick F Does a forecast because his only went upto this evening as well.
  17. There really is no competition anymore, its becoming the norm for Nottingham, Leicester, Lincs and the North of the Uk to be the best spots for Thunderstorms in the Summer, who would have thought the South East would be one of the most stormless places in the Uk. Times are indeed a changing and would never have thought this possible as most people would not growing up in the 1980's and 1990's. Funny old world! Night all! AND GET SOME PICTURES NOW ITS DARK
  18. Ah well if the Storms canny be arsed tonight in other news a whopping 8lb 6oz Baby Boy for Ms Middleton and Wills
  19. Pretty much just went Pffft as well here. Skies look very nice with the setting sun though.
  20. Lol I am literally having me dinner looking out of the Kitchen window at it from the North, nice dark base and it is directly South of SE Essex. Will see what it does in the next 30-60 minutes or so
  21. Yep 5 Years since the last Night-time lightning is truly pathetic. That was a great storm went on for about 4 hours from 7-11pm If I recall
  22. Aha That would make sense, so not the South East just Tornado Alley (Eg Lincs)
  23. Pmsl The first 5 posts from Westerners made me chuckle but seriously ? I live probably in one of the most eastern most places in the Uk barring bits of Kent and Lowestoft and I can count on 1 hand the amount of Storms we have had in the last 5 years, yep 1 per year during the daytime and even those have been 2 farts and a torchlight jobbie, the last night-time lightning has to be August 6th about 6 years ago ? Where is this East gets obliterated everytime coming from ??
