    Summer continues unabated here in Alberta...September definitely seems to be much more of a summer month than June or even sometimes July since i have been here...27c today..and could get passed 30c on Thurs and Fri and staying in the high 20s right through the weekend with unbroken sunshine.

    i woke up to -42c on this morning...Edmonton is close to where to far left -28 upper is...was probably not far off -50c with the windchill

    As of 31st August...Environment Canada are going for an above normal temperature wise winter across much of Canada.

    Nope still got the air con going here at night as day time temps are still in the 80's for another week at least.

    My warmest day of the year was the 2nd or 3rd July when it reached 34c..never got above 30c again until the 4th Sept and again yesterday when it hit 30c.

    No one ever mentions what happens across North America as an influence on the European winter weather patterns?..obviously being upstream from you weather wise surely must have some kind of knock on effect but is rarely considered?

    wow 7 pages already!!...for my neck of the woods i would like to see a cold but snow less winter..the reason for this snow shoveliing is back breaking work and very time consuming..last thing you want after a day at work when you are tired...lots of sunshine and blue skies would be very nice indeed.

    been a very strange week weather wise..each day has been sunny and very warm/hot..the following day is always forecast to be cooler but it never happens the following day has always been sunny and very warm/hot... now had a long run of 80f+ days..today is forecast to be cooler...we will see?

    im sure the last 2 weeks of August 1991 were hot in the south east..i was still living in Essex at the time (happy days) sure it got into the low 30's a few times?
