Same, got an exam technically today now 😉. Got the adrenaline in me now for the first time in weeks.

Fairly sure you said you were doing GCSE’s at the moment (as is my son) so you’re going to be snoring through English Language this morning! Good luck though 😊

The rumbles heard last night weren’t interesting enough to stay up for and have woken this morning the the fog horn going off in the harbour a mile away.

I see there’s a few showers popping up to my east and west over the Channel in the last hour but nothing heading this way.

  2. After reaching 25.5c at around 8am! it has levelled out at around 22 - 24c today, much more pleasant than yesterday and an exciting development over the water which i hope to see build this way later!

Coming home an hour or so ago from Dover, could see the tops of the clouds now giving the rain over Crawley way.

For now though, here at least, perfect!

(just found this waiting to be posted 8 hours later - oops!)

  3. Friday ended up being a better day than expected, sunny despite the MO forecast of mostly cloud.

Had a look back on when I first hit 20c on my weather station in this house (moved November 2019) and apart from 2020 when we had a very warm start to spring, it’s been later than I thought:

    2020 8th April(!) = 22.5c

    2021 28th May = 20.1c

    2022 15th May = 22c

    2023 = not yet, highest 19.7c on 3rd May

Does anyone else have similar stats to share?

  4. Several heavy rain and hail showers early afternoon. Typically I was in the office rather that work from home today so couldn’t get any photos.

Did see on my station, the temp dropped from 12.5c around 12pm to 8c after the first hail shower. Then it had just started to recover when the next one came through and dropped it to 4.7c - impressive for an early afternoon in mid-April!

Had a couple of big rumbles as one of the showers went through about 2pm too which was good to hear.

    Now down to a chilly 3.0c 🥶

  5. Thick fog to start Sunday morning, cleared quickly to a lovely day. However, right on the seafront where my daughter was working in an ice cream shop, it was thick fog all day with the foghorn sounding from first light until almost sunset.
Apparently there were lots of visitors who came down for a day at the seaside, presumably who set off in the sunshine, picnicking on the beach anyway in their coats!

Going to have to change my forum name as I'm moving from Wycombe and the crazy squirrels in the big tree outside that entertain us. Expect weather reports from the River Thames from me from tomorrow as  I'm moving to the Berks border.  Team Moorhen maybe?? Team Squirrel signing off...

(p.s I promise lots of nice rivery weather pictures. To be honest, I can't see much of the sky from my flat but that changes tomorrow!)

Good luck with your move, hope it all goes smoothly
