Down to 13c overnight, hopefully that’ll help take some of the heat out of the house
-
I can hear the fog horn in the harbour and it’s 16c.
No storms for me again today! -

Fairly sure you said you were doing GCSE’s at the moment (as is my son) so you’re going to be snoring through English Language this morning! Good luck though
The rumbles heard last night weren’t interesting enough to stay up for and have woken this morning the the fog horn going off in the harbour a mile away.
I see there’s a few showers popping up to my east and west over the Channel in the last hour but nothing heading this way.

It's to my east not where the storm is unless it's a massive anvil, I'm confused now, must be eleaveted lightning not being picked up on by lightning detectors.
I can hear thunder from the cell directly to my south about 50 miles away so it might be that one?

After reaching 25.5c at around 8am! it has levelled out at around 22 - 24c today, much more pleasant than yesterday and an exciting development over the water which i hope to see build this way later!
Coming home an hour or so ago from Dover, could see the tops of the clouds now giving the rain over Crawley way.
For now though, here at least, perfect!
(just found this waiting to be posted 8 hours later - oops!)

23.7c here already. Too warm for this early
-
Much hotter than forecast here. Have gone from only one 20c so far this year (reached than on 3rd June when it got to 20.3c), back to teens all week then whammo with 30.0c exactly today! Never any easing you into it is there?
Still 26c, going to be a warm night sadly.
Some pics from our walk to the seafront this afternoon

Very warm already, 21c by 6:30am and 24.4c now. Definitely going to be warmer than MO forecast

High so far today 19.6 much better, but still not technically over 20, although I'm sure the Langdon bay one will get rounded up.
22.9c here despite the wind still howling! Not sure why it’s so warm just this little bit further round the coast
-
Still not hit 20c here yet this year. Day after day of the breeze from the north round to east has kept the temp lower than usual.

Not a single rumble here and barely any rain. It all skirted around us or fizzled before it got here

Dull and cool here this morning, do we not need some sunny spells to trigger the storms later on?
-
Friday ended up being a better day than expected, sunny despite the MO forecast of mostly cloud.
Had a look back on when I first hit 20c on my weather station in this house (moved November 2019) and apart from 2020 when we had a very warm start to spring, it’s been later than I thought:
2020 8th April(!) = 22.5c2021 28th May = 20.1c
2022 15th May = 22c
2023 = not yet, highest 19.7c on 3rd May
Does anyone else have similar stats to share? -
Several heavy rain and hail showers early afternoon. Typically I was in the office rather that work from home today so couldn’t get any photos.
Did see on my station, the temp dropped from 12.5c around 12pm to 8c after the first hail shower. Then it had just started to recover when the next one came through and dropped it to 4.7c - impressive for an early afternoon in mid-April!
Had a couple of big rumbles as one of the showers went through about 2pm too which was good to hear.
Now down to a chilly 3.0c

A lovely start to the day, sunny and calm. Told my colleague with an allotment today would be windy and she’ll think I’m crazy looking outside this morning!
The MO have upped the gusts here at 6pm to 58mph

Thick fog to start Sunday morning, cleared quickly to a lovely day. However, right on the seafront where my daughter was working in an ice cream shop, it was thick fog all day with the foghorn sounding from first light until almost sunset.
Apparently there were lots of visitors who came down for a day at the seaside, presumably who set off in the sunshine, picnicking on the beach anyway in their coats!- 1

Morning, unexpectedly chilly again last night (if you’d believed the MO that is) with a low of 1.5c.
Currently 7c and cloudy. Annoying as I can see the cloud line on the radar is just to the west. Hopefully it’ll burn off but I don’t think I’m going to be lucky sadly.

Going to have to change my forum name as I'm moving from Wycombe and the crazy squirrels in the big tree outside that entertain us. Expect weather reports from the River Thames from me from tomorrow as I'm moving to the Berks border. Team Moorhen maybe?? Team Squirrel signing off...
(p.s I promise lots of nice rivery weather pictures. To be honest, I can't see much of the sky from my flat but that changes tomorrow!)
Good luck with your move, hope it all goes smoothly

All ok over here in Folkestone too Alexis!
Plenty of rain though, 11.7mm since midnight and temp down to 6.7c this morning

A dull day overall, some brighter spells towards end of the afternoon and fairly breezy now as the rain approaches.
-
Bit of a miserable day, brief glimpse of sun towards end of afternoon and warmish at 10c

Up to 27.7c around lunchtime, like Alexis said - not bad considering the starting temp.
Perfect summer weather for me, warm day and cooler night. Down to 15.3c at the moment so hopefully a bit more of a dip to come
