First storm was probably a 4/10 here. Some thunder but not a lot and nothing close

Can hear constant deep rumbles from the Channel, got to be 50 miles away so pretty impressive!

I can hear the rumbles from the Channel, impressive as the closest look to be about 50 miles away!

Few drops of rain just passing through and it’s horribly humid again, still 25c in the bedroom thanks to the sun on the house all day.
The showers streaming towards Cornwall at the moment look potent, wonder if they’ll make it this far for the morning’s warning to be warranted?

Stayed perfect for the Folkestone airshow, hope people who went enjoyed it.
Lovely afternoon down on the Harbour Arm! Not too hot, nice breeze and the planes were all good. Lovely bit of tourism for the town after a slower summer than people would have liked with the weather.

Some flashes on this live cam in Folkestone but it keeps turning different directions.
That’s where I walk along all the time! Wonder who is controlling the camera - it’s a closed off area at night so only thing I can think of it’s some kind of security camera as there was a van along there just now, like they were looking for someone.
Shame it’s panning all over the place as it ended up being a decent storm in the end

It’s not a massive storm, I’d rather have no storm if it meant the humidity was gone
Ok, so it escalated into a reasonable storm. Can’t grumble at that, I’d give it 7/10

I had shotgun positive CG thunder earlier that turned all the power out. Wasn't videoing at the time though.
Several shotgun thunder claps here too, rain has now eased off but lightning still flashing away. Looks like some more might be popping up to the SW too

Every flipping time. Anything forecast for the east and SE just turns into a Kent clipper with some light rain elsewhere. We've had rubbish year after rubbish year and no sign of anything changing.

Can hear thunder pretty steadily now. @alexisj9 the rain should be with you again soon!

The drizzle has morphed into heavier drizzle with some actual rain further south, but I think Estofex had more of a handle on things than the MetO etc. They should really stop going into a meltdown at the slightest indication of moderately heavy rain.
Agreed, not too sure why they issue a warning every time there’s a hint of a storm.
Meant to mention in my post above, the dew point is still 21.3c at almost midnight

Not so much any more even here sadly. Used to be almost a guarantee of a French import several times a summer and these days it just seems to sail up the channel closer to France.
Just had some rain for a bit which hasn’t helped the humidity one little bit and have heard several very distant rumbles from what’s crossing the channel now (also to go to the east of even me here in SE Kent I would say)

19oC with 17oC dew point here on the Tendring Peninsula. For us, that's pretty juicy.
22.8 c with a few point of 21.1c and not a single storm on the horizon

Everyone saying how humid it is, it ain't here! It's cold and I've got a blanket over my legs in the lounge!
I’d swap happily, it’s still 22.7c outside and humidity is 90%. And it’s 24.5c in the bedroom. Not going to be a restful night

The rain didn’t amount to much in the end, fizzled as usual.
Horribly humid out now and the sun is trying to make an appearance. Maybe something will spark later if there’s enough instability

Clouded over a little now, but very humid and breezy.
Reckon we’re on for a stormy day as forecast tomorrow or not? I think not, just because every storm warning so far this year has yielded diddly squat here so far

I am very much hoping the hot weather doesn’t come off over next couple of weeks. I have two close family funerals a week apart, first one next Tuesday, and could do without the added stress of being over hot.
Today was about as warm as I’d like it, got up to 22c and that was plenty.

Looks like it's all done down here, some nice looking heavy showers, no thunder though.
There were a few rumbles from that in Folkestone yesterday afternoon. Very heavy rain too for a short burst. We missed it as had to go to Canterbury (my nan-in-law is gravely ill unfortunately) but my son was home and told me about the thunder.

Estofex don’t place us in any real risk today, but at least there’s some. I’ll take that seeing as I’m still on one proper storm so far this summer
