  1. GFS's take on things for monday http://www2.wetter3.de/Animation_12_UTC/48_30.gif http://www2.wetter3.de/Animation_12_UTC/54_30.gif
  2. Once again, the GFS has a lot of precipitation for many central and Eastern areas on monday.
  3. Sir, I beg your pardon? It's fine where it is...
  4. Been snowing heavily this past 25 mins now- everywhere is white again.
  5. No marginality issues on that chart- let's hope it stays like that!
  6. There's a lot of precipitation associated with that front, and there could be 24 hrs+ of snowfall in places judging from the latest output. However, those on or near the coast might suffer from the typical 'marginality' issues. Places inland should see substantial amounts.
  7. The latest weather forecast on BBC presented by a woman (can't remember the name) and she's adamant that shower activity will die out later this evening and overnight in Scotland. After about 9pm, their graphics showed no PPN over Scotland at all overnight and into tomorrow.
  8. Hi Norrance, there was a very heavy shower in the North of the city earlier that has left a covering- are you near the city centre or riverside area?
  9. I'm stuck inside in a big office and am not near a window, but there's a cm or 2 out there I think. Not snowing at the moment but looks overcast from what I can make out...
  10. Heavy snow in Dundee for 45 mins now and accumulating nicely.
  11. Interestingly on the ECM ensemble means for the entirety of its run, most of Scotland is kept under the -5C isotherm.
  12. At +144 hrs, the Atlantic doesn't make it any further East than N. Ireland. Could be a fair amount of snow in N. Ireland at this juncture if the GFS were to verify. http://www.wetterzen...s/Rtavn1444.png http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1441.png http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1442.png
  13. Based on what? the Atlantic hits a brick wall at +126 hrs http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1261.png
  14. If the model output is correct, then it would be Boxing Day when we see some sort of N/NW'ly. I'd gladly accept that as a late Christmas present.
  15. Good GFS 18z tonight for Ireland as a whole. Looking forward to the output tomorrow.
  16. Possible N/NW'ly from Boxing day with the potential for snow. Ignore the IMBYism in the MO thread. Hopefully the models will continue with the trend.
  17. Well well, what's going on with the UKMO at +96 hrs?! Very different to the 12z. Atlantic not as dominant by 144 hours!!
  18. Even Dundee might see some snow judging from that latest NAE output.
  19. Here's the archived charts from Wetterzentrale. What we'd give to see charts like these again!
  20. Back to light again. Can't really complain given the time of the year!
  21. Looking at the Met Office radar, that area of precipitation that is moving South has weakened significantly in 15 mins!
  22. It's too light to determine at the moment, will let you know if it does settle though.
  23. Very light flurry in Dundee at the moment.
