  1. Still very hot and humid here... But the sun is trying to come out. This is the current state of the sky here. ... By the way, good luck to everyone on here with this.
  2. The sky has gone very dark to my south west... The humidity is horrendous.
  3. This is the current state of the sky here. Yes the sun is out, but it's a milky sky... Very, very humid and sultry.
  4. Morning @LightningLover They look more than nice, the problem is so have the charts for the past two days... But today looks potentially incredible. I don't know why this has quoted twice?
  5. Morning all Today is going to be very memorable... Here are the charts from the 00z run from the GFS for today!! Now I say its gonna be memorable, this is gonna happen two ways... Its either gonna be a huge bust for may, like the past few days have been, and so it gets remembered for the one of the most storm potential ever forecast yet in fact delivered nothing, or its gonna give us some really quite spiky (dare I say supercell?) storm(s)... Now I'm certainly no expert, but these charts are incredible!! As ever, its gonna be down to if the cap breaks... Although I admit I am cheered up by the sight of the storms over the north of England this morning As ever, good luck to everyone on this today, and if you are lucky enough to get a storm enjoy and stay safe
  6. Just managed to grab a photo of what the sky is like here at the moment... It's really oppressive.
  7. In the past half hour the heat and humidity have suddenly gone through the roof!! The sky has gone from a milky blue to a grey/hazy orange colour... The sweat is now pouring off me. Please let this be the start the cap breaking and allowing it to go bang.
  8. Morning @Flash bang flash bang etc I know, and I fully agree with you, I was trying to be optimistic ... Professional straw clutcher me ya know.
  9. Ohhhh, what ever happened to the days when you could just look at the cape and LI charts and say that either yes its gonna go bang today or not? *sigh* ... Sorry... Morning everyone, another day and yet more storm 'potential'. I think today is gonna be a case of west is best... And possibly the Midlands too. But as @Surrey has already said, its a horrible set up, we've got the most juicy looking charts on the table and nothing. But on the other hand, @Summer Sun posted the link from Convective weather, and that offers at least a bit more promise. But for what its worth here are todays charts from the 00z run from the GFS. Now although these charts look impressive, are they showing these incredible figures due to the cap? I dunno So another day of watching the turkey towers going, and probably watching them com back down again? As ever this is mother nature we're playing with, as she can pull a few tricks out of the bag to confuzzle us all As always good luck to everyone today, and if you are lucky enough to get a storm, stay safe and enjoy
  10. Sooooo... The question is could tomorrow be game on? The top image is what I took this evening... The bottom image I took two years ago and the following day was another swelteringly hot day, but oh boy did it go bang in the evening. Plus both were taken from more or less the same spot!! Here's hoping.
  11. That's exactly what the sky looks like here at the moment... Very warm/hot and muggy though.
  12. Cheers @Sparkiee storm And good luck to you as well Everything is really starting to froth up around here now, and it's all coming at me from a south westerly direction. The way today is looking I would personally say that this is going to come down to a nowcasting situation @wimblettben Keep poking @Flash bang flash bang etc... It looks like your stick is doing its job here quite nicely
  13. The solstice is on Wednesday and many people claim that we are once again on the slippery slope... Try and think of it as a glorious free wheel once you've gotten over the top The countdown to autumn is underway. ... And moving swiftly back on topic... Personally speaking I love this time of year the run up to, and just after the summer solstice, and then all the way to halloween, for me its just magical Once we get past Halloween some of the magic goes, and no I can't explain any more than that. By the time we get to December I find myself wanting/craving the longer days, and once more I find the light in February/March very, very pleasant as well. *Memo to self: Must order more heating oil*
  14. This is my current view to my South and south west... The azure blue skies of yesterday have gone, and it looks like something is starting to brew up ... Steady as she goes... This is still a knife edge situation as far as I'm concerned.
  15. Morning @Chris.R I agree, its looking amazing... From where I am at the moment the skies have turned hazy... And I can see some juicy towers starting to go up to my south... I'm just about to take the dog out, and I'll try and get some phots, and post them up
  16. HOLY COW!!! Sorry I've just been looking at the 00z run... I've regained control of my senses now... I think. Lol Right ... Where to start? Today is a good a point as any... The first two images show todays potential... And I have to say that it DOES look quite promising. The next two images show tomorrows potential... And then we move on to Wednesday... Now the question is how much capping is going to take place? As despite these quite frankly astonishing looking charts this could end up being a huge bust for many. But where the cap does break... Well... As always, good luck to everyone on this, stay safe folks, and lets hope that this IS the start of the big beasts for this this summer And don't ask me why this chart for today has appeared down here. Lol \/ \/ \/ \/
  17. This is also my concern as well @Mapantz ... But at the moment I'm keeping the faith
  18. OMG!!!! I've just had a look at the 06z run, and this is whats showing now for Wednesday *Memo to self: Don't get too excited... Remeber the 19th of July last year... Incredible cape and LI figures for my area, but the cap held, and all that was to be had was a poxy clap of thunder*
  19. Hiya @Chris.R If the dog hadn't have wanted out, I'd have missed it. Here's hoping for much better this time for everyone
  20. It was just before 06.00 on that Saturday at the end of May @Flash bang flash bang etc It was here in North east Wales.
  21. Cheers for posting this @TJS1998Tom, and my thoughts exactly Almost a week ago I posted up some very juicy looking charts that I cherry picked. Ever since then I've been watching these charts wax and waning, but the one thing that struck me was how consistent they were in going for a time round about that date... Give or take a day or so either way. I also said 'that at two weeks away, what could possibly go wrong?'... Well here we are one week on and the charts seem to be getting even more juicy. Still an awful lot of water to go under the bridge as they say, but dare I say that we could be on the cusp of quite a memorable week for a lot of people? Finger crossed for everyone who wants some storm action this coming week *Memo to Self: Mustn't get too carried away, as I'm still receiving counselling for the last bout of heat when all we had was one poxy clap of thunder.*
  22. Today we have had one of the most convective and promising looking skies that I've seen for a long time Sadly I know that it's highly unlikely to go bang, but at long last, showing signs in the right direction. And here is the current sky.
