3.2c max this afternoon, still well over an hour to sunset and the temp is falling away already. 2.3c atm under clear skies.

The very hills I curse for ruining our snow chances during a convective are being praised for keeping the grey skies at bay these last few days, long may it continue. Temp rising slowy, -1.5c now. Latest satellite image.

Well not a very fitting chart for the third day of spring! Usual caveats apply looking at this range but a very diverse March looking more likely, more extreme than usual. Some cracking winter charts however you look at it. However such epic charts have yet to verify this winter! You'd be looking at some heavy snowfall here given such low thickness values and sub -6c 850's, blizzards over parts of Ireland.

Very cold with not a cloud in the sky showing dawn in all it's glory. A hard frost with an overnight low of -4.7c, currently -3.6c.

Down to -3.7c now, looks like I'll record my lowest temp of the season tonight, certainly not far off the -4.1c I had back in January.

A gorgeous end to the day after the cloud broke up around 3pm and the temp plummeted like a stone towards sunset, currently -1.5c Sunset this evening over the Irish Sea.

More cloud appearing and blocking out the sun at times dam it! Temp climbed up to 4.1c.

I could get used to this - another clear & frosty dawn with an minimum temp of -1.9c about 7am. Sunshine beaming down now, -1.3c. I hope the cloud sheet gets eaten up by the Pennines and the Lake District Fells and we hold onto this perfect late winter weather
