Any idea if my school will close in Cardiff?

Jay how will anyone know on here if your school will be closed. Ring up the headmaster and ask him or better still go on BBC Wales as they are listing the schools that are closed.

To try and answer all of the will it won't it snow in Bristol comments....

The rotation around the low in the English channel has now brought the snow over me as far south as it's going to come. As the low moves NE the rotation will continue but the snow will then start to move NNE away from me in Yeovil towards Bristol.

Maybe.....

If that is correct then surely the mendips would be in the fireing line for another 5/10 cm? maybe

Not sure guys! Looks to be just hanging around south somerset and nearby, but who knows?

Would be good to do some proper lampost watching after Gavin & Stacey :)

Might be good for south BTL, but maybe not for north BTL.

I think it's a case of 'wait and see' now; just got a hunch that tonight is not yet finished in terms of snow......he says, hopefully!! :D

Rob McElwee, BBC News24, just hinting at slightly warmer air getting into the 'mix' at the mo....could be explaining the heavier snow down in somerset.

BB, Fromey, Mullender and others : the back edge of the snow band has barely moved any further West for over 2 hours!

I think Yeovil has become the centre of the pivot with the weather going South to the West of me and the weather to the East is starting to go North. So as the weather goes North it should start to rotate around towards Bristol.

I wish I could show you the NW radar animation of the last hour then you'd be able to see it happening.

It's been snowing here for about 2 1/2 hours and has now accumulated to about 3-4 inches :D
