I don't think it is going to thaw fast, i think on high ground where temperatures will be 2/3c colder it will barely thaw and then there is potential for more snow out of marginal events.

I wish I was in Wiltshire or Dorset area now, that moderate/heavy ppn has been over them for ages now and barely moving. It hasn't really fizzled out either, if anything intensified a little.

Anyone from around that area in here? Lucky sods lol :(

I'm in Dorset and you won't want to wish you were here! I don't mind losing out to marginal situations being on the coast and all but with that in mind it's hard to take when you get this situation which is just down to pure bad luck.

Trust me, until you live here you can have no idea what 'little' snow is. :( People talking about only a couple of inches boo hoo!!?? PLEEEEEASE, I'LL HAVE IT!!! :(

According to gfs and Roger's post the low is progged to move NW??

The low is moving west, which is one in a blue moon. :( love it :(

The center of the low is crossing right over the west so must be another period of snow to come but the radar looks like a dry slot coming in.

Gave up on the walk to the pub after slipping on the compacted snow 3 times ... that was while sober, god knows what it'd be like coming back... its reading -6.2C out there, which does seem a little OTT.

How near is that snow! Just needs to edge a little further west and it'll top everything up nicely.

Lol just as you said that I checked the next radar image and it fizzled out a little bit :(:D

Edit no it didnt lol must of been an error or something. Gurt old bristol should see moderate snow soon if it stays on track.

serious amount of snow has fallen here over the last few hours, the most I've seen for a long time. Was following 2 gritters on the A358 back from Taunton earlier complete with a snow plough!!. Not overly heavy snow falling but its a constant amount. Very still outside with an orange sky. Nobody driving about - seems very strange.

Had the same amounts of snowfall here as you. Im not IN Bristol. 12 miles south.

Just hate half day events with a quick thaw.

Good covering here now still snowing.
