Do I spy another recruit? Come on folks, people power, we can do it.

Still breathing in, sucking the cold air down, turning puce now......

I have a dilemma, I'm off to choose a cocker spaniel pup tonight, the pup's in Keynsham just outside Bristol. The original plan was to pick him up Saturday rather than bring him straight home tonight but I don't want to leave it until then, if there's a real risk I can't get him at the weekend - the excitement would drive me mad and I'd drive everyone else mad with it. What do you reckon? Serious dumping in the offing or lucky to get an inch or two?

Dont get one our scottie died just before christmas and the wife decided she wanted a cocker (to go with the 2 gsd and 2 siamese cats we have also got) Its a fruit cake nothing fazes it. Already rules the roost cats lives are a nightmare apart from when they all curl up and sleep together. She is constantly hanging from the 1 shepherds mouth ears nose. Yesterday spent the best part of the morning playing in the snow with the youngest shepherd. Saying all that mind I wouldnt get rid of her now :D:D

That's good news for now let's hope the snow only temporarily turns too sleet after 10am and the temps dony rise that high......

Just been out with the dog, and there is fresh snow on the hills along evesham vale, and cleeve hill has some new snow too, it looks really deep up there even from 5 miles away

Cloud starting to build now to my west, and sun hazy all but gone.......... oh the wait

:D

That is definately snow blowing around out there now! Perhaps all hope is not lost!

Glad to hear it!

Another interesting thing is my temperature has been falling steady now for 2 hours after a thaw started to set in.

max temp was about 12pm at 3.4c

Now it is only 2.1c and falling!

BBC weather guy mentions Glos... :D .....going to be fun tonight

Well, if it does then it will be ACE!

the clouds are moving much slower than yesterday and the day before so if it was to be heavy at least it would be heavy for longer!

Dogs, What time do u think we will start to see the beginning?

Oh my god!!!

I cant handle this!

We could be on our way for some amazing snow but i just dont want to get too excited otherwise i fear the letdown will push me over the edge into loopyland!Maaahahahwhweoifhofewqoefjwqf

I was born and brought up in Churchdown, Melville Road. My last real snow memory is building snowmen on the green and running around the block with the snow up to my knees, that was late 70s/early 80s though. :D

It is quite warm in Somerset now, I fear rain and no snow.

Ok the will it will it not debate

The fronts are moving alittle further north by 12z today compared till forecast 24hours agopost-5585-1233758532_thumb.jpgpost-5585-1233758546_thumb.jpg

On midnight tonight forcast you can see Northern areas of the southwest get a good easterly compared to the forecast previous i have marked this change on the fax in blue

Ok so with a abit of sleety stuff first this is likely to become another snow event for many in northern counties in Southwst and southeastern wales northwards.

The 850s are still over midwales but the air will still be minus 3 or colder. Its the cooler air as it passes more land that allows the snow where on previous it took more southerly coming straight off channel.
