I am sorry to be a pain, but would anyone please be able to answer my post on the previous page? Are we in for a pasting tonight, as I thought the bad weather was not due until Tuesday morning.

Hello fellow St Evenage dweller! Fat flakes over in Broadwater could go either way. Think there will be a slushy covering eventualy. Tommorow night looks marginal for us but our 100m or so ASL should help a little. I anticipate that tommorow we will see rain turning to snow before it clears away. I expect about an inch by Tues morning. Keep an eye on the forecasts and Model thread as subtle changes could make a difference betwenn a foot of snow or just lots of puddles and fallen trees!

Snow is settling on the paths and roads. It's definitely settling on the seven inches of snow we still have on the grass. Hubby swept the remaining snow off the driveway this afternoon. Every time he does this we get more snow. I'm going to superglue the broom to his hand tonight! :)

You don't sound anything like your picture!

Evening everyone,

Classic case of intensity of precip making a difference.

This could be significant for some people tomorrow night!

I only wish I knew where.

Sure you will be ok mate! Slough is in for allot of rain and not much else IMO. Could see sleet down there on the back edge but wouldnt expect much more than that unless the charts change

Wow, this is the heaviest snow I have ever seen!

The snowflakes are huge and already have a covering after only 10 minutes.

Already got nearly an inch! All that hard work of clearing the road today wasted. It started as rain, turned quickly to snow. We are 160m asl and i think this will be impotant come tomorrow night! Not sure I want it or not, missed 4 days of teaching last week!!!!
