I love snow under high pressure, it dries the snow out and it settles straight the way even though it is only light snow. I seem to be on the weston edge so hope it doesn't keep moving east or I will miss my last covering for a week.

Also it is snowing at 2 degrees (Or at least that is what my weather station is recording) Where as earlier in the week anything over 0.8 deg was falling as rain. The upper air profile must be refusing to give up easy. This event is going down in my book as the unexpected snowy breakdown.

Didn't think I would be doing this today but can now report heavy settleing snow . Temps fell to 0.1 a drop of over 2 degrees in 20 minutes. Pretty cool event all in all. PPn seems to be expanding rather than dying out . Great .

Gfs 12z now saying snow pretty much all night . And shows ppn moving west not east. In the words of macky d's " I'm loving it "

No sleet or crap just snow, falling on to the existing snow fields of Oxfordshire

Temps dropping here now -1 and pressure is dropping as well, I assumed pressure would hold steady with it trying to build in from the west but at the minute the east is winning.
