As mentioned earlier in this thread by another member... This is your cold front become static, now pushing back as a warm front. Wave line. Not going anywhere and I doubt it will move away from inland UK for at least the next 18 hours.

Have fun all. Pics (NeilSouths especially!! ;)) BUT PLEASE STAY SAFE!!

Phil.

My idea of where the risk zones are, inside RED zone 90-100% chance of seeing rain which is likley to be very heavy and medium to high risk of thunderstorms, inside BLUE zone 60-70% chance of heavy rain and a low-medium risk of thunder storms.

Afternoon folks ;),

I'm hoping that the storm-line currently to my west moves east, I can see the dark skies to my west, but I'll be driving my bus from St. Ives to Cambridge, not getting back to St. Ives until gone midnight...

touching 27 for me too

poss a bit warmer than that. Very humid here are we in for some storms tonight i wonder. It is always our luck in Maidstone that we miss the crackers. Last realy big storm to come over from France missed us and slammed into Canterbury. We caught the edge of it only.

We have had moderate rain here on and off most the afternoon.

Looks like I might be slightly to far West to see the best action.

Looks like they got their prediction of Hampshire for storms wrong. Dorset is in the firing line for a whole train line of them. http://www.meteox.com/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=satradar

Er, Coast...

That 09:00 is a bit outdated. Has grown since. And in massive proportions.

And also why so big images?? telephone boxs up my browser. One bugbear I have is the horizontal scrollbar.

Or is it for the benefit of the blind?

Phil. (Sorry to blind people, David Blunkett exclusion!)

the light blue patch around London almost takes the shape of the M25. lets hope it not like a force field ring similar to the Sheffield Shield

Overcast here in Hertfordshire. Warm and muggy, in past 30 minutes it has been noticeable that a breeze has developed.

Will keep an eye out to see if anything develops here.

I've just finished work and the temp was 28.5c, it was 24c at 9am. Hopefully we are in for a storm some point today as I've earned it working out in the sun/heat for over 4 hours.

Is that light blue just drizzle, or an anomaly?

:hi::rofl:

To the guys East of West London and most parts of the South East.....I have a bad feeling that today is NOT Going to be our day, there seems to be a lot more Stable Air currently in the South East and the CF Is just not shifting, if anything it stays as a Stationery Front and pushes back a little way westwards (As per the Meto Fax from Tuesday) so I cant see anything unless it is rogue appearing for us and France is not looking good atm.

Even the Surface Low that was shown on the Models looks to be trying to form West of Cherbourg at the Moment which is pivoting the Rainband North of Cherbourg more to the North of just West of North!
